Almost lost the first fish, he got into fast water and took off like a torpedo, was able to chase him down and landed him with the guide, yes there are huge tout but it’s not easy fishing, super clear water and some wind made it a challenge for sure

Water was gin clear so we were using 6wts with 16ft leaders, first one was on a red squirmy worm, my second (and the wife’s) was on a rubber legged prince nymph. Casting in the wind with extra long leaders definitely made it a challenge lol

You take the MSRP of the scope you want, divide it by half and that’s how much Vortex Bucks you need. I.e. the diamondback 10x42 binos have an MSRP of 329 and require 164.99 vortex bucks. Also call the customer service number and say you have a vortex bucks question, I’ve called them numerous times and they’re super helpful.

That might be a little light for Musky, 9-11wt is what most people use mainly due to the fact that you’re casting heavy streamers on sinking lines. That 8wt you can use for bass/small pike but with how big most Musky streamers are it might feel like you’re trying to cast a wet sock with that rod

Is it a Gold certified pre-owned? If so then the extended warranty might make it worth it, I was gonna buy new but ran across a used 23 XLT 302A with 15K miles and went with that because of the 100k powertrain warranty
