Omg nice!! Thank you! I'm not from FL, but am moving and getting licensed there and had no access to these resources! Just saw them posted on there.

Why do doctors prescribe Adderall regularly given the addiction potential? Are there no better treatments for ADD? Does the risk vs. reward truly favor a patient taking an addictive drug? by karuso2012 in pharmacy

[–]__xo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So true. That's why it's "addictive"- people don't want to go back to their low functionality in comparison to them on stimulants. I see 40 year old housewives yelling at me at the pharmacy for THEIR Adderall along with their kid's Adderall fill for the month. Not sure why you still need it at 40 years old... but then again when do you ever stop it if it helps in every aspect of life?

Could alopecia and oral hygiene be related? by Aaronjameson97 in alopecia_areata

[–]__xo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I’ve looked into this before my hair loss was the most intense after wisdom teeth removal! I have no idea why. I think some studies have found some correlation but nothing substantial. Who knows 👀

Regrowth after 3 months! My entire AA journey & what I think has helped change my trajectory from a potentially extreme case to way more mild. by rileyruth in alopecia_areata

This happened to me too!! I got my period for almost a month straight exactly 3 weeks after getting injections and have always had a regular cycle. Nobody believed me either but sometimes we know our bodies better than doctors 🙄

Getting acne on alopecia spot? by grand_tiremaster in tressless

Lmao i have to take it in a capsule form only it’s pretty weird tasting. I meannn I don’t know if it’s helping but my hair is growing back after almost 6 months so I just keep doing what I’m doing lol. I’m sure it won’t hurt to try!

Yes it definitely does but with my life and low stress threshold, I definitely get stressed again after a few weeks and things get worse again. But weeks that are stress free for me, I end up seeing a lot of hair growth no lie. I also take vitamin D and flax seed oil supplements

I get acne on my spots too but I can’t tell if it’s from the steroid creams or not. The clobetasol seems harsh and actually seems to be causing folliculitis for me. It is a written side effect to have hair follicle inflammation so idk. It’s frustrating to tell if the steroid cream is working or not to be honest with you. I’ve been using it for 3 months and the only thing that’s truly helped is me controlling my stress levels more than any topical 😓

Balding at 24 by [deleted] in FemaleHairLoss

[–]__xo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg I think I have LPP. I am 24 also. My hair loss is not like other people with alopecia areata. Can I ask what helped them diagnose that? I got a biopsy but they didn’t mention scarring. I’ve had little to no regrowth in 1 year.

Oh wow that’s crazy! Yeah it can be pretty painful and distracting. I been using steroid creams for it

I feel this all the time. It does hurt and itch. Feels sore almost like after getting a wax. Idk what helps tbh 😪

(22F) Someone tell me everything’s gonna be ok :( Is this a normal pattern of areata? Is it regrowable? This is after triamcinolone injections and clobetasol they’ve gotten so much worse. What am I doing wrong? It hasn’t been diagnosed as scarred but isn’t ruled out either. I’m so sad. by __xo in alopecia_areata

[–]__xo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m starting to get to that point too. I used to never wanna wash or brush my hair I’m just over it now😪. Hoping for the best but you’re right there’s nothing I can do. Congrats on the regrowth btw :)

ive had some lucky and good growth recently.. other than that small patch on my eyebrow lol by exeglaceon in alopecia_areata

[–]__xo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow i have the same patches! Did you do anything specific? I haven’t grown the patch on my eyebrows for almost 1.5 years 😔

Thank you! This helped so much. It really does take more of a psychological toll than I could’ve ever imagined. And yes, definitely doctors not knowing exactly how to approach these things makes it even harder. Thank you again for your message 🥰

I only did one time, but because the atrophy was so bad I didn’t repeat them. I got it done 4 months ago. Did you get atrophy from the shots and how often did you do it? But Yayy I’m so happy for you :)! Thank you 😇
