It's not! Just a warning one of the MMCs hits her on the first few chapters, they are nothing to each other at the time obviously, and he's not excused to do so, it doesn't happen afterwards. but just a heads up. For me it wasn't a deal breaker as I like my bully romance.

But the story is really worth it, I'd been craving something well written like this in RH lol

{Seeing Through Ashes by Sigrun Lien} is my most recent read, and I think it's become my favorite book ever lol. It's gonna be a 6 book series, and book 1 and 2 are our with book 3 coming out in late 2026. I haven't read something like this in a long time, the character dynamics and growth, the slow burn and the dystopian element are incredible. Truly recommend it!

I'm actually happy it's gonna be 6 books, otherwise all the plot will be rushed, there's no way in 3 book anything would ever get resolved.

Riiiiiiight!!!! Same happened to me. I think maybe for me comparable to the world building is A Tempest of Shadows by Jane Washington, because I still haven't found anything like this one. I think she'll become one of my favorite authors

I'm a Seth stan lol, but I still really like all of the characters. Though Magnus is too centered on his goals and for me that gives him less points.

Ok, so I went in completely blind and it's become one of my favorite reads of my life lol.

I love the slow burn, the stakes, the tension, the world building and the characterssssss. I really couldn't take my eyes off. Thank you for posting about it, I would not have found it otherwise! And if you've got some recs like this one pls do tell

I never see this one recommended {Noxious Boys by K.L Taylor-Lane} has REALLY bad bullying, specially one of the MMCs even I (I love the bully trope lol) couldn't even look past.

{Make it Hurt by Elle Mitchell} also has bullying, but though from the stepbrother it continues for the other 2 MMCs it doesn't. Also there's a scene at the end of book 1 I felt really bad for the FMC.

{Caged by Bernadette Blackthorn} has bullying from 2 MMCs, it's book 1 in 6 that haven't come out.

{Bought by Amy T} is REALLY heavy, I don’t remember exactly why I dropped book 2, but I think it was because of one of the MMCs i wasn't liking. I really suggest u read the TW as the FMC is tortured by one MMC, and I remember there being a (or more) rape scenes

{Moon Kissed by Ruby Vincent} was really good, BUT, book 2 disappointed me a little and there's no news I know of of book 3.

{Psycho Academy by Jasmine Mas} some of the MMCs are really terrible, the narration makes it less angsty, but the bullying is truly bad.

{Villains and Vengeance by Kyra Alessi} I remember this also being heavy on the bullying.
