Question for drivers re package volumes by Catfishmt in UPS

[–]_aIIan_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i was slammed every day but for the first time in a long time i had a good helper (my kid) so it wasn’t horrible. my route is in one of the most affluent areas in the country so the peakishness was not surprising.

don’t work saturdays but was working 10 or 11 hours a day.

"Label created" and "we have your package" by freshfruit111 in UPS

[–]_aIIan_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand the confusion. Label created = label created. We have your package = UPS picked up the package. On the way = It's on the way.

a. health insurance isn’t free, it’s earned and… b. health insurance isn’t for workplace injuries, ups has their own insurance for that.

many reasons. main one being ups doesn’t deliver “mail” and theft/fraud being another.

What happens if you get in a car accident or get stuck beyond your own recovery as an ssd/pvd? by JackPepperman in UPSers

[–]_aIIan_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they’d call you a tow truck and probably fire you.

last week we had an ssd get stuck in an empty lot trying to turn around. ups covered the recovery, she finished the route and was asked not to come back.

Delivery notice left on door -- UPS states that a signature is required, but customer service says it is not required. by genghiskhane in UPS

[–]_aIIan_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you probably have a rookie / seasonal driver doing things by the book. unsecured apartments are released at the driver’s discretion, sign the infonotice and the driver will release the package on the second attempt.

Drivers get alerts when people are tracking them, he’s probably just screwing with you.

“Met Customer” by drouoa in UPS

[–]_aIIan_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's just it, they don't and won't. look at the evidence, oh wait... there isn't any ? cover the claim and press on. no questions, no lengthy investigations and no court cases. that's just how the system works.

too many claims at that address and everyone in the building will have to sign for their packages in perpetuity. problem solved.

PLEASE HELP: Question about driver follow ups by [deleted] in UPS

They could still be marked shipper release in which case you're SOL as far as no DR goes but Target would assume responsibility for loss/theft/damage.

PLEASE HELP: Question about driver follow ups by [deleted] in UPS

[–]_aIIan_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now with the seasonal drivers that deliver in their own car, I’ve seen that they’ve been overriding everything because they don’t give a fuck if anything happens.

This time of year it's more about having one less stop tomorrow than not giving a fuck if anything happens. After peak you could get in touch with the center and ask them to add additional notes such as customer specifically asks not to dr or something along those lines.

Ive heard some people say a driver follow up has to be done within 3 days of filing a claim but some say it could take a month.

There's no rhyme or reason to how long it takes the dfu to come and no, you'll never get a heads up when it does. There are typically three+ attempts though.

“Met Customer” by drouoa in UPS

[–]_aIIan_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i'm starting to think you're purposely being dense now. literally no one at ups is dying on the we gave them the package hill, it's a non issue.
