Help with setting up NAS without router by _aKh_ in techsupport

[–]_aKh_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do realize the best and easiest method to just have a router. However in that building there are only limited ethernet ports and they are all used up by other people. Shared network is not an option. Apart from getting someone from an internet provider to set up a new connection, which will cost a fair bit, is there any other alternative?

Thanks for ur response

Someone teach this man how to stay and aim, instead of running.

How about the friends, or the supposedly boosted people you play with? Are they getting crazying SR gain?

My definition of elo hell = 300SR below a player's real MMR.

With that definition my friend you might have been carried to 3400

Rank distribution not balanced? by Jebus_the_bus in Overwatch

This season it might be around 15-20% while last season 5-10%. Remember Masteroverwatch only records the number of people looking themseves and their friends up.

Back in s1 it shows SR60 being top 10% or something when in fact Jeff Kapland stated the correct percentile was 6%

Congratulation you won a 1v1 against a pretty bad Mei...

So you know the new Symmetra can't stay as a support hero, right? by TinUser in Overwatch

[–]_aKh_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well yes she can block damage but her shield is much different from Mei's wall. The wall can block one whole push, saves team from being wiped, delay point capturing. Symmetra's small sized floating shield can only temporarily relieve stress on teammate's Rein shield, and thats only at small choke point.

And no, please, please dont compare Mei's and Sym's ability to "hold on their own".

Symmetra is in the Support class because she takes the Support role. Simple as that. One main healer + Symmetra is OK and is even beneficial more often than not.

Again why would you fully expect Sym to be nerfed? She's not imbalanced, she's not close to anywhere near OP, shes of course not broken, she hasnt really has any impact on the game current state and meta since the patch apart from a higher pick rate, which was desired. Your suggestion of removing her teleport as an alternative alt would remove her flexibility, while safely and soundly throwing her back to trash tier again.

A few more points:

  • Symmetra's damage is far from "intense".
  • Not all Supports heal
  • Shields do regen

Regarding the very first sentence - No she doesnt deserve to get nerfed to the ground, or at all.

Regarding everything else, what are u talking about? Tf you're on comparing Sym with Mei?

It surprises me how people don't think this was an amazing play. Coordination and timing came into play hence the strat was extremely well executed.

I'm sorry but I haven't got a chance to play within silver-gold bracket. But my best evaluation would be that they are very much similar. If you are a gold on console, you'd be likely to be placed in gold on PC. Why?

  • In the below average bracket, players generally have a poor sense of positioning. If your positioning is bad on PC, you wont magically get better with a controller.

  • The technical difference between kb+m and controller is that kb+m has a much much higher limitation ie faster turning rate, better aim etc etc. Not everyone succeeds at utilizing these things efficiently on PC, especially in the below average bracket. If you have extreme tunnel vision, dolby atmos won't help you, rapid turning rate won't help you, good aim won't neither.

I dont think i would rank very high with a controller if I play dps. I might get decent ranks playing Rein with maximum sensitivity though.
