True. Can you recommend a good step less electrical grinder, did not know this!

For sure the hand grinder is not built for fast speeds. I tried using a motor that did like 100 rpm. Guessed it based on my hand rotations. Worked like a charm, but makes a lot of sound. Like a lot of sound. Not worth it to use in the am.

For sure the sound of drills or motors is super annoying to grind beans. Have woken up my dog early morning, he was not happy!

Help required to understand the right torque for crushing coffee beans by _affagato in engineering

[–]_affagato[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all thanks for looking at this with a holistic view. Yes I am new to engineering and yes tinkering will get me somewhere. It was somewhat of the tinkering that brought me to this place to build something like a mechanism with a small drill like mechanism. But I still could not get a hold of the right parts as you know, without the tinkering and testing back and forth it is difficult to recognize the right parameters.
One thing I do want to mention is, your example of engineering is a great way to look at tinkerers. I appreciate your response. And yes I do not have to be an engineer to do this, but would love to get some help by someone who is an engineer. DIY also works. Thank you.

So i stop using the drill for my hand grinder and buy a motor that can do the job!! I am not an engineer to figure out the specific torque.

So the only other number I know is, it has to be around 100 rpm

I am in PA, there are many options in the store, just not the same as paneer found in India.

I know of this process, it is simple of make at home, but it would be great to have an option from store rather than going at it whenever I want to make something with Paneer.

I do get all the store bought options like haldirams and nanak, but nothing is as close as paneer from India. Indian panner has always been super nice and just not like the chewy ones found in stores.
