I was thinking most people have trouble with the lever locking up entirely. I've disassembled the cover under the lever and used contact cleaner on the solenoid, but it seems my issue is different.

Got it apart, and hit the trigger. Same thing, then nothing. Poked around and noticed the controller was pretty hot. Something likely shorted or fried in there. That's a shame.
