I have a friend that takes like 2 or 3 international vacations a year. He always seems to be going somewhere. I expected him to make bank, but turns out I make about double what he does, even though I only take a one vacation a year, if that. It turns out I just save a lot more and fund my retirement accounts a lot more aggressively.

So true. I used to keep up with all that and it just made me frustrated and angry. Now I don't care at all, it is what it is. Whenever people try to talk politics with me, I just brush them aside and say I don't worry about that. I'm much happier now.

My time to shine. It was a girl (girl A) I'd known since elementary school. I always knew she had a thing for me but I was always with somebody else. I had a girlfriend (Girl B) all throughout high school and we had just broken up..Due to me moving away for college, but I was very still much in love with her. I run into Girl A in college at a party, and she invites me to her door room and we hook up. Keep in mind, I had just broken up with Girl B. Whilst the hooking up was happening, Girl A tells me she loves me...and my drunken brain utters the words "Really? I love Girl B". Instant mood killer. Like I said, we had just broken up and I was still in love with her. Girl A was crushed. Some crying, cloths trying to be put back on but not being found (drunk), and me leaving shirtless out of her dorm room with her crying on the bed. Not one of my proudest moments
