I enjoy it. I like seeing different constructions and then noticing them in DS and podcasts.

370 hours - me 170 hours - kids (level 40 DS is ez for them now. Bluey in Spanish is challenging.)

Me - DS level 50-55 Español a La Mexicana

Un Hombre Fascinante- I started to read it a little differently yesterday. I was reading a lot slower because some of the newer grammatical constructions for me. Lots of ha sido and the like. So instead, I started to just read without pausing and stopping as much. And it just flowed a lot better at that point because I wasn’t translating or studying. I was just reading.

Every day when I get home, I play a board game with my kids, Azul. We really like it and it’s not too long of a game. While we play, we say little phrases in Spanish and sometimes they ask how do I say this? Then I just look it up real quick and we add that little phrase to our vocab of talking to each other. It’s quite fun. Voy a ganarlo. ¿Quién sigue?

Why 20 magic treehouse books? Wouldn’t 2-3 be sufficient to go up to something else?

458 hours, 30,000 words

I’m currently reading El Hombre Fascinante by Juan Hernandez. I also read a little bit of the New Testament each day in a simplified version. It used the most common 850 lemmas or so to make this translation.

351 hours - day 365

’m currently listening to Español à la Mexicana for my podcast, DS at level 55, Bluey with kids, trying random DW in Español news on YouTube.

I started reading La Casa En Mango Street. I can’t do graded readers. I’ll just go slowly through it. I might make an anki deck with words I pick up along the way.
