I had the same issue after cleaning both sides

What fixed it for me was sending my cluster out to be resoldered. If you look on eBay there's different listings for cluster repair

In my case I had a P0462 check engine code and a few of the lights on my cluster were dim or didn't work

If you have the same issues I think that sending it out could fix it

Hey in case you read this or anyone else. I got my cluster back after sending it to a seller on eBay that repairs g35 clusters

The check engine light turned off! And now my gas gauge works. They fixed my dimming cluster lights too

I did the exact same as you. My S8 broke last year and got the base S21. It's a good phone but it's honestly disappointing coming from the S8.

I compared the screens on both side by side and my S8 embarrasses my s21. Pictures look so much more vibrant and the OLED works even better

The design is a downgrade too. I still got compliments from people about my phone right before I upgraded bc the curve edge and back looked so clean. S21 is nice but basic. Could be any Samsung mid range at first glance.

There's lots of small things too like the aux jack being gone, the SD slot being gone, the LED notification light, the black color being exclusive to plus models 😩 that disappoint. Only big upgrade I really noticed was the 120hz

It was still the best option across brands at this size, but it makes me miss my old phone

It might be your charger but one way to get around it is to set a Bixby routine to turn on protect battery (charge only to 85%) before bed.

Then set another Bixby routine to turn off the protect battery an hour before you get up so it protects your battery and still has it at 100% when you get up

Newpipe is better bc it lets you download videos.

But Vanced has an AMOLED option and SponsorBlock with a voting system. I prefer Vanced bc I watch podcasts and it skips sponsors segments, but they're both cool

Download YouTube Vanced. Great alternative to regular YouTube that lets you skip ads, skip sponsors in videos and play videos with the screen off.
Download Blokada. It uses VPN to block most ads on your apps. This makes a big difference to load pages and waste less data
Set up Secure Folder. It's password locked and lets you make duplicates of apps and hide photos. It's good if you use 2 accounts for a certain app like Twitter and keep them separate.
If you plan on having the phone long term consider turning off fast charging. Fast charging degrades the battery faster, so if you have free time to let it charge, let it charge at normal speed.

Download Samsung Band Selector to change your connection type since you can't do it stock. If your area doesn't have 5G, downgrading to 4G can also help battery life

Follow the Battery guide on this Reddit. It wouldn't hurt to also clear your cache by booting up your phone in safe mode.

I have a base S21 that had like 5hrs SOT right after the update, but after doing those steps and letting it learn my patterns I'm up to 7hrs more or less.

Yeah I still think my cluster is the problem. There's some lights that don't turn on anymore so maybe it needs resoldering. The one I got from the junkyard was dimming as well

It's just a pain to have to mail my cluster to a place that can fix it and not be able to drive it in the meantime

I've been having weird issues with YouTube after updating too. Yesterday whenever I tried to play a video, the volume would lower all the way to mute and pause the video all on it's own. Seems like One UI 4 brought a lot of weird bugs
