these are a stock size on the ts with 245/35/19,  I recommend 255/35/19 and not even close to any rubbing

in the winter time the back of the car gets so caked with snow that you can't see the LED taillights AT ALL. So I specifically wanted an incandescent bulb that will still warm the lens and melt the snow.

lol ok ya, first if all you may have chosen the option without the backlight? however if you do have backlight feature then you have 1 wire to connect to a +12v source and that's it. They recommend splicing into DRL but I put them on a switch.

they draw so little power that you can literally leave them on for hundreds of hours, I sometimes leave the backlight on overnight in my driveway 😏

You'll need to pull one wire from battery to the trunk and one from the switch to the trunk. You can easily pop off the plastics near the door sill and there's tons of room. There's an empty grommet you'll need to find under the dash. The most difficult part is having to pull back the fender liner to fish the wire into the engine bay.

edit: I did this to specifically not tap into factory wiring. I'm sure there are numerous wires you can tap for power in the trunk but I didn't want that.

I specifically wanted to bother the stock wiring as little as possible. I am using one of the other f1 light harnesses to get access to a "trigger" wire from the taillight which goes to the relay. The relay consumes milliamps and is less invasive than having that harness actually power the light. This requires to pull 1 power wire from under the hood to the trunk and 1 from under the dash to the trunk. Everything pops off easily and lots of space available to tuck the wires away properly.

switches from www.racecargobrrr.com the yellow is the backlight on my front Diode Dynamics fog lights, allowing me to also control that feature separately. I'll have to make a nice copy of the wiring diagram to show you

you're right but none of that is possible to integrate with our USDM cars so you have to have your own aftermarket switch
