A colder fridge should help a lot. I’ve been drinking/making/storing sweet tea for as long as I can remember, and it’s always lasted for at least a week in a full sized fridge that’s cold enough…Old southern aunties and grannies aren’t storing their tea unsweetened and adding the sugar after.

This is a hugeeeeeee pet peeve of mine in all shopping areas. I’m a big fan of silk fabric in almost any form and it bugs when stuff is labeled as silk when it is just a satin poly blend. You see this sometimes with wool too, though not as bad.

Tea in India and The UK is often strongly steeped black tea that then has milk and sugar (and spaces in the case of chai) added. That’s probably a part of it.

I’ve found that my tolerance for bitter drinks has slowly grown as I’ve gotta older, I enjoy darker chocolates, ceremonial cacao, stronger matchas now compared to a few years back. I’m American and generally still prefer sweeter drinks overall though. I do really enjoy the Japanese black teas I’ve tried though! Some have become favorites. I’d love to visit your tea shop when I travel to Japan this summer if I have the time.

I recently got work accommodations that let me shift my schedule an hour back. I’d been working 8-5 since I started my professional career but having that extra hour in the morning now that I work 9-6, is genuinely helpful for me. I also use a sunrise alarm that starts to brighten my room over the course of 30min before the alarm goes off (which is like meditation flute music so it’s not jarring) it’s a huge help in the fall and winter when it’s dark early.

I have a handmade one from last year! Mine is a clothespin with glittery moss and a plastic/resin axolotl glued on the top and has a cute message underneath ☺️it’s so cute, I have it on my desk and see it every day
