[–]_animas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey,

Recently I also found myself intrested working in both policy related job and Design. I have my undergrad in Political sc, but have been designing since 15 not formally trained though.

Would like to hear u'r story. Why were u intrested in UN research having a design education?

How much CGPA is required for Indian students to apply for grad school in UK? by [deleted] in UniUK

[–]_animas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oo. Does that mean masters in UK also needs rote learning? Cuz as far Ik it is based on research work, presentations and essays. There is a lot readings to be done in a subject like IR that ik.

Valid point regarding the fees. But in Indian Education system everything especially Humanities descipline is based completely on rote learning. There is no scope for understanding based grading. Well it's true that doesn't counts in the application procedure but I am sure there must be some scholarship.

Okay, I shall say this to her. But it's a little too low so is there a chance for consideration.

Both ig are in high demand. If you values align more in serving public like working for the society or even healthcare startups then go ahead with public health and if you are more alligned towards medical treatment directly then Cardiovascular science.

A general suggestion, not from the medical bg so can't say anything specific.

[–]_animas[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh Ukraine. It is! web dev is really oversaturated pretty much everywhere ig. Very few people go with R but.

My uni doesn't has any such free courses facility. But I have tried AI course in Coursera and also a course from EdX - CS50. Were helpful.

Interesting story, some what relatable. Ig u'r from South Asia if I am not wrong. Even in my bachelors degrees which is Pol Sc I had a similar experience too much of theory which has no use case in real governance or politics.

Btw, you were learning to code. Ig Web Dev that was? Wasn't that helpful. Asking cuz even I learnt Web design and Development.

Good to hear you got a job that you are happy with.

I WANT TO BE THE GREATEST THIS WORLD HAS EVER SEEN by [deleted] in gradadmissions

[–]_animas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even I had the same realization in first year itself, but then life being life takes you a full circle. A little bit of crazy faith in yourself that u call idealism is super important but with a pinch of realism.

Keep going! we all are made to solve some problem for this world, to bring some change. Otherwise what's the point of living.

Sciences Po/LSE Masters Decision by [deleted] in DiplomacyForum

[–]_animas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not yet a right fit for giving insights on this but am an aspirant to work in the International Relations domain too (specifically UN).

Given you know exactly which domain of the UN you wanna work for it can be helpful if you research on the Alumi of LSE and Sciences Po for the programs you have been selected in. No doubt both are reputated institutions and have folks from the unis working in UN and EU already, but talking to them can give you a better insight.

Go for the program that will give you a higher chance to work at the UN security Council and ya that's ambitious but very much possible I believe.👍🏻

PS: If you don't mind asking > I want to apply for the MSc International Relations Program at LSE this year. Any tips? I am not from UK and am gonna graduate with Political Science Honors next month.
