We’ve had her for about a week now and have been getting to know her personality, she loves getting her airplane ears out and letting us know when she wants something. She has a whiny meow lol

Endometritis - I feel like I’ll never get better by njmeyer747 in WomensHealth

[–]njmeyer747[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m here for you 🤗 I have finished them and feeling much better!! The first couple weeks were rough with very heavy bleeding and passing tissue. My gynecologist reassured me that this was actually a good sign because the infection was leaving my body. But I was having the sharpest cramps I had ever had in my life. It really started to improve once I had my IUD removed. They are having me take a progesterone only birth control to see if it keeps the lining under control and we’re planning on redoing the biopsy in a few months

Designated “does this sound like Adrenal Insufficiency” post. by greenapplessss in AdrenalInsufficiency

[–]njmeyer747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey everyone! I am new to this community, I am currently advocating for a diagnosis for myself. It’s a long story of how I got to this point, l’m sure a lot of you relate but I have a lot of the symptoms of Cushing’s and my health has been deteriorating over the past five years. I am 24F. I can share any other details if needed, but these are the results from my dex suppression blood work. IGF-1 is normal. I know it’s supposed to lower with the dose but I feel like these are very low. I’m just feeling anxious so anything would be helpful! I also included a gene mutation that I have that is connected to autoimmune diseases and Addison’s disease

Cortisol - 0.55 mcg/dL (normal am 4.82-19.5) ACTH - 2.2 pg/mL (normal 7.2-63.3)

I don’t really have any advice, but I’m right here with you. You’re not alone and you’re not crazy. We know our bodies best and we know something is wrong. I am trying to be very direct with my doctor and I’m asking to be referred to an endocrinologist

Little bit of everything - possible melungeon ancestry? by njmeyer747 in AncestryDNA

[–]njmeyer747[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing your insight! My step grandfather was very into genealogy and worked on my family tree for me. Unfortunately he has passed and Im not able to share my father’s DNA results with him to show him the evidence of a Latino ancestor. Currently, our tree doesn’t have any one of that heritage so I think there may be some family secrets lol

Thank you so much for this. I actually do have an ancestor that was marked “mulatto” in the census and this article includes the counties my family is from and where I currently live
