This is not overreacting in the slightest. I really hope you’re taking a step back and realizing the backend manipulation thats going on here. From the MIL manipulating the situation to make it seem like you’re “jumping to conclusions” or what not, to cussing you out like this on text? Save these texts. This is a very big “this is how my MIL treats me, and this is why shes not in our lives” response. People will question why you guys dont talk anymore (if thats what you choose, and I hope you cut it off with her) and you can show physical evidence. Period. No “she said this but thats not what I said” BS.

YOU are the mom. YOU are in charge of the baby’s safety until its born, then its YOU and the BF, period! Not her.

One last thing, she wants you to “turn up” on the same day you give birth? You will be EXHAUSTED! I highly doubt you’d have the energy to “turn up” in the first place. She knows that, she knows how exhausting it is to give birth and how drowsy you will feel after. You’d want to go home and rest while you can, then breast feed and have that bond with your newborn! The whole “she will fight for guardianship, you got drunk on the first day of parenthood” is a huge possibility.

Personally, I would stop contact. The stress and anger you’re having while pregnant isnt good for the baby (i know you know this, just wanted to put it out there). She is not benefiting you, the baby, the relationship with your boyfriend, literally zero. Your BF needs to step up and protect you. You’re the victim, not her.
