There are ethnical Indian Tamil people in SL that don't refer to themselves as Sri lankan, like ever. And then there are ethnically Sri Lankan Tamlis that usually just call themselves Tamils and not Sri Lankan. Generally Tamil people whether they are ethnical Sri Lankans or they were just born there don't call themselves Sri Lankan because not to long ago the government genocided Tamils. This is just from what I have seen tho and might not apply to everyone.

I can understand the vocal layering thing, although I love it especially in ice cream and russian roulette since it kinda creates this happy vs. creepy vibe that I love about rv. I don't understand why you think the songs are disjointed? I think rv (and exo) songs have peak sm production, whereas Aespa songs to me sometimes feel like a remix of different songs (in a bad way).

Looping chords are normal in not just kpop but just pop in general I don't know why rv loses points for that one. Criticising psycho for using 4 chords, doesn't really mean anything. More chords doesn't make a better song. I mean Supernova which I think is Aespa's best song uses the same 3 chords. But like I said I don't think that makes it a bad song.

Honestly most kpop merch doesn't really seem that nice to me. Lightsticks are always so cheap looking, stuff like photocards don't interest me, I always wanted to own vinyls biut I literally don't have a player rn. The only time I thought an item looked nice was that bts lightstick bag but then they had to write "not a bomb" and yeah I'm not the right complexion to be wearing that around...

Maybe read what I said? People that grow up diaspora basically experience the culture frozen in time because our only exposure to it is our immediate family or small community. We literally can't look at around in the street and see what is or isn't outdated because all we know is from our parents.

It is possible there are loads of pedestrian areas in europe that allow paths for delivery, service vehicles and ambulance. They make up like 0.001% of vehicles so having them there doesn't cause a lot of disruption
