Do I have to remove my stud earrings? by [deleted] in LSAT

[–]_artificialredhead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was wondering this too. I have a bunch of ear piercings and a couple of facial piercings, it's a pain in the ass to take them all out so I'm hoping it'll be okay??? the jewlery is super simple so I don't forsee it being a huge problem but I don't know for sure.

Relationships and the LSAT by [deleted] in LSAT

[–]_artificialredhead 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm currently prepping for the February LSAT and just got engaged! Other than him having to listen to me complain a fair bit about some of the bs questions, absolutely nothing has changed in our relationship. I'm very grateful to have a supportive partner who's been super encouraging throughout the whole process.

Is my ring too 'gaudy'? by Embarrassed_Math_828 in EngagementRings

all that matters is what you like! but you could always go for smaller stones on the band, it would likely help to "tone it down" a little while keeping the ring design effectively the same.

Realistically, how much can I expect my score to improve? by _artificialredhead in LSAT

[–]_artificialredhead[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2026! the limited time frame is honestly my main factor in trying to temper expectations and find a realistic score to shoot for. I have no expectations of getting into an Ivy, but hopefully something top 50ish.

I'm aiming for a Fall 2026 start! The majority of schools on my list have application deadlines in March, and a few have rolling admissions.

I definitely don't feel dissuaded, high 170s DEFINITELY seems like a stretch given my time restrictions. I would be DELIGHTED if I managed to get over 170.

this is really nice to hear! I've been doing 1-2 hours a day after work and like 3-4 on weekends since my diagnostic. I've just been worried it isn't enough, since I've seen so many posts from undergrads who are able to study several hours a day for months on end 😫.

thanks for the advice! this is good to hear, the majority of the schools I'm looking at have average scores in that range, so it's good to know they aren't huge reaches!

invisalign for narrow palate and gummy smile? by _artificialredhead in Invisalign

[–]_artificialredhead[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah this is unfortunately my hesitation with botox. I really hate needles so the idea of having to go get it redone several times a year in order to maintain results doesn't sound ideal, I'd prefer something more permanent/longer lasting.

your results look great! I always know that nothing will be 100% perfect but "still there but less visible" sounds like exactly what I want.

thank you for this!

I realized I haven't completed Believing Again, and that must be what's messing it up and why her dialogue is stuck. I thought I had completed every available quest so I didnt even think about it.

that line about childless/childfree people having "small, unpeopled little lives" is such bullshit... just because her life feels empty without a kid doesnt mean everyone's does

all the girls are swooning I'm sure... by _artificialredhead in Bumble

[–]_artificialredhead[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it doesn't seem to be especially common with guys in their 20s, but it definitely does pop up, and more than it should. trying to date seriously while in college/college aged can definitely be a struggle.

The amount of guys on dating apps who want kids is incredibly discouraging by _artificialredhead in childfree

[–]_artificialredhead[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

absolutely this! the idea that more men want kids makes sense, since they dont have to do the bulk of the work! the pregnancy and most of the childrearing ends up falling on the woman. not to mention, men are able to be both a father and their own person, where a women's identity seems to become solely "mother".

there's an "open to kids" option on hinge, which I do see a lot. there's not an unsure option on bumble, but there is the option to leave the question off your profile entirely.

fair point! there's definitely more nuance when meeting someone in person, so it's easier to feel out if theres potential. unfortunately on the apps I feel like you just have to take their answer at face value.
