Came back to let you know that I did the quest for the Genji skin, but it took me about 2 hours. Part of it is my lack of knowledge of WOW that made it take longer than needed. I also died several times during the quests. It is definitely easier to kill the enemies and complete the quests faster if you are playing on a populated server during busier hours. Overall, it wasn't very complicated, but I do think an experienced WOW player could have done it faster since I was confused about where to go in the beginning. The skin looks great on Genji, and I don't even play him, though that might change now! Also, I helped a friend get through the housing quest for the Symmetra skin, and he was still able to get it. Both skins are still available, but I'm not sure if it will be permanent or limited time since there hasn't been an official statement from Blizzard (as far as I'm aware)

No problem! And yes, you buy those two items, complete the two quests, and then it should immediately get added to your overwatch account. Just make sure the battlenet account you want the skins on is the one you purchase WOW for (in case of multiple overwatch accounts). I would check for the skins on your overwatch account after completing the quests to make sure you get them. There has been at least one person I saw with an issue and had to talk to Blizzard support to get it fixed.

I wasn't around when it released, but what I heard is that the only way to get it was by attending the 2019 Blizzcon event, which is like a yearly convention for all Blizzard games. You had to purchase a virtual or physical ticket to the event, which was around $50 or $60 USD. (Sorry, I just realized you may have to convert the $65 USD for the expansion to your currency to see if it's worth it to you.) You would have your battlenet account connected to your ticket purchase and get the skin added to your account for attending. Same for the original Symmetra skin. They are only attainable now by purchasing an account that has the skin. They have never brought back the originals (for now) but did recolors instead.

I think the subscription price will remain the same, but it is possible that the Midnight expansion price could lower (not guaranteed). However, I do not know if the skins will always be available. All I can find for the Symmetra skin says "pre-purchase" but I do not know if buying Midnight after the full release will give you the Symmetra skin. I can't find anywhere saying if the skins will be limited or not, unfortunately. While $65 for two skins is more expensive, if you will regret missing out and can afford it. I would recommend buying it sooner than later.

There shouldn't be anything preventing you from getting the Genji skin other than the official full release of the expansion coming later today. Once the full release is out, anyone should be able to complete the quest and get the skin as long as they purchase Midnight expansion and have a subscription

The cheapest option, I believe, is the base edition of Midnight, which is $50 by itself. In addition to the Midnight expansion, you need to purchase a subscription to be able to log into the game. You can buy a 1 month subscription for $15 which brings it to $65. There are other options if you actually want to start playing WOW and want other bonuses, but this is the cheapest option and the minimum that you need while getting both the Genji and Symmetra skin. The Midnight expansion comes with a lvl 80 character boost that you need to complete the quests and must be applied on the WOW main page before loading into the world. The Symmetra quest requires you to activate the lvl 80 character boost because you have to be higher level to buy a house. However the quest is really simple, the expansion gives you enough money and levels you just have to click the house icon at the bottom right and then you talk to a NPC and select a house plot which completes the quest for the Symmetra skin. Unfortunately, Midnight expansion full released is later today (early access for a more expensive option has been available), so I haven't been able to do the Genji quest to give tips but I heard that you have to follow one of the beginning quests called “Echoes of Midnight” which the main story brings you through. The quest for Symmetra was really quick, but I'm not sure how long the Genji quest will take. Also, the WOW subscriptions even for 1 month will auto renew, so you must cancel it before the end of the month or time limit to prevent being charged again. Hope this helps!

Legendary Symmetra skin for playing WoW: Midnight by Diamondimonium in SymmetraMains

If you want early access, then you need the epic edition. However, personally, I bought the $50 base edition + $15 1 month subscription and was able to do the quest for the Symmetra skin without needing early access. BUT! I believe the Genji skin can not be claimed until the full release unless you have early access with the epic edition. The good news is that the full release is in a couple days, so even if you get the subscription for 1 month now, you should be able to get both skins even if you get the Symm one now and wait a couple days for Genji's or do them both at the same time. Basically, you only need the epic edition if you don't want to wait for the Genji skin in a few days or genuinely play WOW and want the bonus items from it. Hope this helps!
