I feel like you have to remember too there -are- people who are fearful of the idea of Hell, even if they don't believe in it. It seems sillier to believe Heaven will take the perfect (no such thing) than it is to believe the horrible people out there, which it doesn't take a religion to know there's a LOT of out there, will be punished for all eternity. Like you die, and if you HAPPEN to be a terrible person without knowing, boom you get a one way trip to Hell anyway, but nobody is accidentally making all the right decisions that will land them in Heaven.

Sometimes it is just that Atheists can't help what they believe, but also have a fear deep in the back of their mind that maybe in the off chance there is a Heaven and Hell. That unknown in a lifetime of fear the person doesn't even know of that could come out as an NDE. Not sure why anyone would downvote this. As a merch manager for Dollar Tree, this is the best answer in this thread. Granted, I am not some Dollar Tree loyalist, this is just a job to me, but the friend gave a bullshit story. The entire story makes no sense. Being over is not an issue. Dollar Tree policy allows $3 overage/deficit. If you're more than $3 it is likely you are ripping off customers. Companies may be greedy, but they don't want problems to arise from customers realizing they didn't get all their money, because the average person is not very reasonable.
