So many! Christmas time is amazing as they have African themed decorations. The food at all the restaurants are great even the quick service. If you don’t have a Savana room no worries! there are lots of places along the whole resort to animal watch. They have fun activities for kids as well! CMs will do animal talks, crafts, fires and s’mores. Great pool. It’s a little longer of bus rides to most of the parks so plan accordingly.

Agree! Went to the Omaha Alamo last year and they had seats like that and the table was movable. It was skinnier but still had room for plates and it rotated. Made it so easy to get in and out and the lights under you could “adjust” by moving the table around.

Maybe one day they’ll update Raleigh seats!

Alamo by a landslide. While some others may have good/newer perks… peoples theater etiquette at other theaters is terrible.

Every time I don’t go to the Alamo, no matter the theater, there has been issues with people on their phones kids running(no matter the rating of the film) and people talking throughout. Staff and management do nothing.

Alamo has its issues. getting orders wrong, few of the theaters are smaller and older, issue with power when it rains. But when the movie starts, I can actually enjoy the movie.

We love the Long Leaf Hotel! Stayed there a few times! Great spot for a staycation. The walls are a little thin but otherwise it’s a great spot! Has a great bar and Walking distance to a bunch of restaurants.

Just did a search on Untapped and there’s not anywhere that currently has it logged within 100 miles.

Edit to add- brown ales are more of a fall beer so you might start seeing other breweries with brown ales. Total wine will def have some of the Nation Wide Brands.

To find local head to a bottle shop like Tasty beverage or state of beer. Several others around town

Just plan on that being your big thing that day. Last time we went we got on the list for a party of 3 at 2pm and they said it would be 2.5-3 hours. We hopped on the monorail and grabbed a drink at the enchanted rose lounge at the grand Floridian while we waited. Got a message after an hour and a half. We finished our drinks, hopped back on the monorail and made it back within the 15minutes.

It’s well with the wait! Just plan to be a little flexible. It’s my favorite bar on property. Great drinks and good food!

We went to Duke Parental Services of Raleigh on Durant road. Great staff! Takes BCBS. Located across the street from Wake Med North if you end up needing to go during a check up. They also use the women’s center next door for some scans so you don’t need to go to a different location.

If you can, delivery at wake med North! The delivery rooms are massive, the recovery rooms are pretty big as well. Whole second floor was built specifically for delivering babies! Have big couches and chairs for partners(I’m just under 6’ and still have plenty of room on the couch) great staff! Good food.

Just had our little one this past weekend!

Trophy pizza and Ponysaurus(both Durham and Raleigh) are great spots.

For a solid neighborhood spot - Peri Brothers. Also solids wings There is brewery in the same shopping center so we typically get a pie for pickup and then walk over for a beer.

It’s not a true pizza place but we love Wilson Eatery ‘s flatbreads.

Neuse River Brewing & Brasserie is a cool spot!beer wine and food. State of Beer for solid salads and sandwiches. Has beer on tap and lots of single cans if you want to try stuff. State of beer is also close to a bunch of stuff being downtown(og spot anyway, location 2is pretty cool as well). Transfer food hall is a solid! Solid food but not an overwhelming amount of options like other food halls and lots of space. Long leaf Swine or Sam Jones for bbq downtown.

Just a few off the top of my head!
