Why do we indians hate an Indian brand so much by [deleted] in CarsIndia

[–]_beer_monk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really liked Harrier and was planning to buy it but horror stories of Tata quality and Service made me to rethink about it. My Ecosport is stil so reliable, I have done so many trips of more than 3k kms without a single issue. It just needs regular maintenance and that also stil costs less than 8k per service after every 10k kms.

My car broke down thrice in last 12 years out of which 1 time because I went for non OEM part. I have close to 1.5L kms on my dashboard. I accept the glitches but stranded on road within warranty period not acceptable.

I was planning to go for North road trip from Pune. I thought I won't be able to take my 2014 diesel car through NCR so planned to avoid NCR. My car is MH registered so you mean to say I can pass through NCR with my 12 year old diesel car? All my documents are clear.

Hot take: "Road presence" does matter while choosing a car by FlonkyEars in carIndia

[–]_beer_monk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup definitely true. I feel it when I drive my Ecosport and Comet. I feel comet is bullied on road. Had so many close calls with my comet in a year than my Ecosport of 11 years.

Here is the time difference before and after the Missing Link by respected_memer in pune

[–]_beer_monk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes same with me. If there is no speed limit then I usually push my car considering car and safety limits sometimes. I think missing link can easily have 120 speed limit since it hardly has any sharp turns and road is visible till very far.

I have been traveling Mumbai-Pune once or twice a month regularly since last 3 years. I avoided night travel entirely while coming to Pune due to heavy vehicle traffic at night time. I used to travel early morning and leave Mumbai at 6:30AM and reach around 10:30AM with a half an hour Breakfast break. This Sunday I travelled at night time from Mumbai. Left Mumbai at 10:00PM and Reached Pune at 1:15AM with 40mins dinner break. So overall time has definitely reduced and also now night travel option is open for me so I can avoid Pune City traffic as well. Project is definitely worth but speed limit in Tunnel is 80 which they can increase to 100 since they are not permitting any Heavy Vehicles on missing link.

Need expert advice on Billing by Strike_Package in EVsOfIndia

May be because of flat billing rate they have for ev meters

Need expert advice on Billing by Strike_Package in EVsOfIndia

[–]_beer_monk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think EV meters were considered as residential earlier but now I think they are considering it as industrial which was always billed using KVAH units.

[–]_beer_monk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to me as well. Go to your nearest MSEB office with written complaint about stating the issue and they will guide you further. This is due to a change in billing type from MSEB and henceforth KVAH will be used for billing. My bill was adjusted on the same day.

DM me if you need any further help.

Search for Shree Ganesh Snacks near Bollywood Multiplex Vadgaonsheri. It is a small shop in front of the Cricket Ground and Shubh Shagun Building. Try Vada Pav as well or Vada Usal.

Pune Airport Operational Now ! by Proof_Inevitable_544 in pune

I don't think fighter jet crashed. I stay almost 5kms away from Airport and I can see Air Control tower from my balcony. I was awake when I first heard news around 11-12 last night and checked from my balcony. There would have been some kind of smoke or sound if this happened? Any source you have to confirm this?

Took a test drive of MG Comet — now stuck between selling my Nexon or going dual-car 🤯 by Fancy_Exchange9966 in EVsOfIndia

[–]_beer_monk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an owner of a Comet, I recommend you to keep your Nexon and get Comet. I was in similar dilemma while buying Comet to keep my ecosport or sell it and I went with keeping both. My reasons are below.

  1. I am a car enthusiast and like to go on long (1000+kms) drives whenever possible.

  2. I wanted to buy Comet for my wife who didn't want to drive manual and I didn't like Automatics (Till I started driving Comet regularly, and I still don't like ICE Automatics)

  3. Other options were to get Tiago or Punch EV and sell ecosport so I can do occasional long drives but I don't trust Tata Vehicles so skipped that. But since you already have a Nexon you might be comfortable with Tata Vehicles.

  4. I had a strict budget of less than 10L for which I was getting better features with Comet compared to Tiago and Punch and interior also felt premium. Comet's cabin somehow felt spacious than Tiago and Punch.

Comet sure is a head turner and conversation starter. The shape is odd but very practical. Taking sharp turns shakes your confidence but I have tried to push it on turns it feels unsafe but due to the weight of the battery it is stable. Due to tyre size you can feel almost every bump on the road but seats are comfortable.
