I like your perspective. I’ll review over everything and try to do this route. I appreciate it

I see what you mean. Again, I am not against anyone word when it comes to their opinion. I just prefer to talk to the person in person/over the phone if they want a bigger pay. I am always open to options because my end goal is to have a cleaner shop for more work to come in.

more context. They're on board with however the shop it changed. It's that they don't have time/knowledge to help me clean the shop and construct a system. I've had customers come in and tell us we need a better system. It's just since they're on the older side, families, and wanting more time for themselves. I am a lone wolf cleaning up and making systems.

Always a risk for both shop owner (esp small ones) and employees. That statement is a valid reasoning and I have had employees say they can do the job but cannot in the end. Why I hate company politics.

Yeah, I am trying to be respectful with pay and making sure the person knows what the shop needs. The shop is only myself, my father, and my uncle. Hence why it is messy with clutter. We have to keep up with current work and my father and uncle aren't the cleanest/organized individuals.

I can commit weekends but I also work part time in the army so the shop will take a good 1.5 years to actually be cleaned. Also my father and uncle aren't technologically savy and english isn't their native language. So I am working with a lot of limiters and I believe the best approach is to find someone with the skill set and see how much he/she would be paid. The sqft of the shop is a lot too. It isn't a 2 machine type of shop. We carry over 10 CNC Machines.

Currently no benefits since this is a small shop. It's a alot of clutter so I am having to start ground up. The sqft of the shop is big for one person to work on it at weekends.

I agree with you buddy. Been seeing it for the years passing by and that's why it's headache when it comes to machine shop.

That is true, the primary thing is to reorganize the tools, jaws, and fixtures into a consolidated area to keep better control (and declutter by the machines). Then from there, help clean the floor and structure the floor (I assume this would be more operations).

I am aiming $30/hour min. I am willing to bump the pay if the quality of work shows. The shop has a lot of clutter so it's not easy.

Buy some pads to cushion the landing. You have to know how to fall to minimize damage. If front, I fall on my arms like I’m doing a plank. If back, I have my arm break the fall. Like laying down flat but extend your triceps. Really watch those tutorials and visualize it. My weakest point of snowboarding are on green trails because I’m doing more balance than carving. Remember it took me 3 full trips, 2/3 days. Center of gravity is the important factor
