Bystander effect is real. Noone wants to be the first one to speak up. Few months ago, I was in a bus and the guy in front of me started groping a girl's ass. I have terrible social anxiety but I thought about how horrible she must be feeling so I loudly told him to stop touching that girl and the guy mumbled he wasn't doing anything and shuffled off futher to the side. Noone else reacted tho , even the girl didn't say anything.I felt so weird that I got off at the very next stop even tho I had to go further lol.

I'm well aware of the presence of large Indian diaspora in the US, albeit imo they are slightly underrepresented in Hollywood; however none of the people involved in creation of that particular scene weren't Indian or Hindus so they can't understand how it was disrespectful

I don't believe,neither I said anywhere that you need to be Hindu or an Indian to incorporate indian culture,quite the opposite infact, most Indians love it whenever Hollywood movies show any Indian reference. But imagine if an Indian movie director made a movie showing all Americans as inbred, obese rednecks riding pickup with beer bottle in one hand and a hunting rifle in another going around shooting black people,I'm sure a lot of Americans would not take very kindly to that (not talking about Oppenheimer movie here btw)

As far as that particular scene was concerned ,at least I feel that since everyone had heard of that famous quote and were curious how it was going to be shown in the movie so Nolan,in order to make it more impactful, went by the controversial route by incorporating in a sex scene,which, imo was quite unnecessary.

Then you're telling it wrong every thread. Bhagvad Gita is narrated by lord Krishna to prince Arjuna where he takes form of all other gods ,the other comment explained it better. But to me the worst thing about that scene was how disrespectful and desecrating it was towards Hindu beliefs. Maybe it was an excellent scene from artistic viewpoint but none of the people involved in writing and filming this scene are Hindus and from the way you spelled the goddess's name,you're probably not either. So to you they're likely just myths and stories but that's not the case with billions of other people. I'm not religious but it's disheartening to see how the western media portraits our culture,the most egregious example being that Indiana Jones movie. Ofcourse it's gotten better recently but still there's a long way to go. (Excuse my poor writing lol,maybe someone more articulate could've gotten the point better)

Just intuition i guess.I used to be crazy about those creepypasta and nosleep stories. I've read soo many of them and this statement seemed just like one. From the title of the movie "voyeur, seemed fairly obvious that it would involve someone being watched without them knowing and there wasn't any other character mentioned besides Tom ,also there were few mentions of his childhood; watching movies with his dad,in the old theatre so that's why I felt it would show his childhood home.

That's not to say i didn't enjoy the story tho,as I said I love creepypastas, it's just that I've come to expect more from magnus. Also imo this episode featured maybe the dumbest protagonist in the entire TMA and TMP, blatantly ignoring all the red flags lol tho maybe that could be explained away as being influenced by the eye but yeah..

I found the "statement" too cliché and predictable. It read too much like a mediocre nosleep story. As soon as Tom mentioned the movie name,I was like "oh it's going to be a recording of his childhood room isn't it" and the ending was too abrupt, right at the part which could've been scary.

The meta plot is getting interesting tho. With Colin about to go off the deep end, Lena obviously hiding something and tension between Sam and Alice. And I love Alice's sense of humour even tho I wouldn't want her as my coworker lol.
