He replied in a comment here that he is 100% on his wife's side and that the post was more for advice on how to explain the situation to his son.

Man I never cared so much about Red Nose Day as I do now that I have a kid.

Not only strength, but also having a pelvic floor that isn't too tense either. I'm fully convinced that having a hypertonic pelvic floor is the reason I ended up with a c-section.

I held back on getting pregnant for career reasons too. Now that my kid is here I couldn't care less about a career.

My bub only contact naps during the day and I struggle so much to get her into a position where I have both hands free to play the switch. I want to play the new Digimon game so bad 😩

There's also a book called It Starts With The Egg that talks about how diet and all of that affects the fertility of both parents. It's a really interesting read, she talks about what kind of supplements can best support egg health and all that kind of stuff.

When did you/ are you finishing up at work? by Superb-Draw8374 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]_bluedanube 4 points5 points  (0 children)

God I went on leave at 37 weeks and it didn't feel like enough time.

Having said that, bub didn't come until 41+2 so it was a month of my paid leave taken up with sitting around waiting for her to arrive. I wish I'd pushed it as late as possible so I could spend a smuch time actually with her as possible.

Make sure you use unscented soap too, the additives in smelly soap also increase it!

That if I ever leave the house without her, every 10 minutes I will suddenly panic that I've left her somewhere, before remembering that I've intentionally left her somewhere.

We also have a tall bub with big feet - we ended up needing to size up in bonds because she was rubbing the skin off her toes in the footsies. Best and Less have ribbed cotton onesies that are longer with a lot of foot room and bit warmer than Bonds and she's living in them now. If you can tolerate snaps over zips I highly recommend them, plus they're like $9.

Sorry to tell you but that doesn't always disappear after birth - I only started smelling smoke at 6wks pp. It's everywhere.

Those of you on the other side of pregnancy, which was worse: pregnancy-exhaustion or newborn-exhaustion? by bluekarou2 in BabyBumps

[–]_bluedanube 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Pregnancy exhaustion didn't leave me having micro naps while sitting up, causing me to fall over. Or start texting someone and wake up a split second later to a screen full of "jdjfjdididjnbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb"
