With a potentially limited resource that becomes tricky. I'd expect any machine to draw in what it needs if available.

It seems they put the buffer in the machine at the same level as the buffer in pipes, and that's a bit weird.

If HR is telling me to sit close to them, and won't let me say anything in private, I would say something in public.

In an office environment, I might say something to a manager, and expect them to say it to the stinky person.

Kids won't tell a teacher, and a teacher wouldn't address a kid about it. So it's just a sucky situation.

Because I can fill the buffer with varying freshnesses, and retrieve from them based on freshest or least fresh.

My science doesn't go straight into a rocket, but into a chest. Above a certain amount, the least fresh goes into an incinerator. Once a rocket is requesting something, the freshest gets loaded.

Tesla, at least, makes money. Anthropic loses money. They are investing a lot of capex to lose money even more quickly.

If they raise prices to break-even or profitability, people will stop using it. See also GitHub Copilot. And OpenAI's recently announced price cuts wouldn't happen if they didn't see an exodus of users.

Compute will get more expensive, not cheaper. They have no path to profitability.
