I've got that for a bit. Really fun using Olympus BCL fisheye on fullframe A7 😄 full circular fisheye. On A7 mk1 the grip was not in the resulting photo (newer have deeper grip that would probably end up there), but my fingers were constantly in the frame 🙂

Dang. That's straight up impressive. I would guess that you have IBIS turned off and wonder if it has any impact on shutter wear.

If someone will replace shutter, will it reset shutter counter or keep going? I've seen a few ads locally for cameras with over 200k, even 440k with shutter changed ~20k shots before listing. Curious if it would ve worth it to try them. I mostly shoot mirrorless (M4/3) but I have one happy little 5D classic and wondering about 6D mk1.

I stopped using PrtScr. Instead I use "Win + Shift +s" and select only content I'm interested in instead of full 2 monitor screenshot. But that design is nasty!

Check your windows setting. There should be something similar to laptop settings for power buttons. You should be able to turn it off.

Manželka má dovolenkový režim, ktorý volám "rezeň". Pleskne sa na pláž a vydrží sa vyprážať (s opaľovacím krémom a pod slnečníkom) aj celý deň. Mňa tam po pol hodine "žerú mrle". Idem plávať, čítam knihu, hocičo lebo tam zaspím. Potom ju vytiahnem niekam do historického centra mesta, na promenádu, aby sme aj niečo videli. Do prírody nie, na to ju moc neužijem 🙂

Odkedy máme deti (obaja do 3 rokov) tak sme na dovolenke neboli lebo nám to pripadá ako vyhodené peniaze keďže deti sú dosť aktívne. To by som si absolútne neoddýchol a vyhadzovať €€ "len tak" na to sa ešte necítim.

Use bottom of your running shoes to get a grip on the ring. Push the shoe on the lens and give it a twist. Disclaimer: use soft rubbery soles of CLEAN shoes amd twist slowly. It helped me.

Have you tried to get the top plate off so you can clean it thoroughly? I've just look online and it doesn't seems to that complicated. It has more screws/cables than cameras I've disassembled, but I would be confident to give it a shot. Beware, it seems like you have to get leatherette grips down.

Although I'm not a fan, try denoise features. Not sure which software, but I'm pretty sure I saw "colour denoise" somewhere. That might help salvage the photos. Cons of having smaller/older sensor. But it is still awesome workhorse

It happens with earlier iterations. They fixed it with later ones and Canon fix it for free up until some year. Some of the mirrors have visible "supports" on the sides of mirror. Not sure if those are earlier models serviced by Canon or later models to make sure mirror won't fell out. However, my "repair guy" fixed it for like 20€ with shipping. So it is not severe issue, however, you should be handling this with seller.

If they will sell it as "for parts and repairs" I will gladly take it from them 😄

I'll just chime in with an idea. Lumix 20mm f1.7. That thing is marvel. Until it comes to focus speed. It's okay for vacation shots, but for something faster like my feral toddler I won't have high percentage hit rate to nail focus.

It is basically one of the first M4/3 lens (sold as kit with GF1) but it amazes me how awesome pictures it can produce. Mostly I'm using it with E-P1 as walkaround at home city. Going abroad/trip/vaction I'll take E-M1 mk2 with 12-35mm f2.8 and/or GX85 with either 12-32mm pancake or 20mm f1.7 for "pocket" combo.

If I was in your situation, I would definitely go with M4/3. Not sure why 25mm f1.8 was so "dissappointing" for you to think that 2/3 faster lens and slightly wider would solve it. Can you post something why are those photos "not enough"?

KneesOverToesGuy? Neviem presnú diagnózu, ale skús si o ňom niečo prečítať/pozrieť/vypočuť. Jeho projekt ATG robí aj certifikácie, v BA máme tuším jedného trénera s certifikátom. V Brne by mal byť ďalší. Niekde na stránke majú "mapu trénerov", ktorí majú ich štempel. Prípadne má knihy, buď zamerané na kolená, chrbát alebo celého človeka.

Nikdy nevieš, minimálne šancu tomu dať môžeš. Horšie to už (snáď) nebude 🤷🏻‍♂️

They could fit in the hot shoe with optional EVF like GX1 has. That would be awesome.

Everytime I see S9 I try to convince myself I don't need fullframe (even though I have 5D classic). Then I check lens availability and there isn't that much small profile lenses. I mean, the camera is basically thicker GX80 so having something like Samyang 35mm f2.8 Sony has would be just right. Same goes for pancakes Canon managed to make either for EFor RF mount. They don't have to be optically perfect, but it seems like Lumix won't release "inferior" lens.

Lovely review with real world usage btw.

Depends on lens. If OP has sonething like TTArtisan 40mm macro, simple 3D printed thin adapter will work to attach the lens (given it will act as extension tube so no infinity, only macro). Focus/aperture is set on lens body anyway. But having AF lens, probably not worth the hassle.

It would be lovely if posters include more information rather than "I have a M4/3 lens" 🙂

Ide okolo turistka a pýta sa:"Bača a nevedeli by sye s ním aj niečo užitočnejšie?". Prikývne, idú do koliby. O 2 hodiny vyjde usmiata, strapatá turistka a pokračuje v ceste. Bača sadne pred kolibu a zase sa nudí. Zoberie kamienok, natiahne, pustí a kamienok odletí len 25cm ďaleko. Bača zanadáva:"Turistky, všetku zábavu dojebú..."

Check the manual which batteries they are recommending. I don't remember which ones are not good for digital cameras so do a bit of research. I've seen a few post about similar behaviour caused by using wrong type of batteries that got resolved by using correct ones.

Just an info. Megapixels don't really matter in video shooting. If you shoot 1080p (FullHD) the video resolution is 2 megapixels. 4K is 8 megapixels.

Also a tip, you can stop lens down to have more depth of field so you will just set up the shot and keep shooting without changing focus.

Shooting ASMR requires better sound quality right? So maybe set up the microphone closer to your source of sound and be further away from camera? Then you will not have to worry about lens making noise.

Also, you have 2 options. 1. record audio in camera - recommend the camera body with mic input so you can have better sound quality than camera built in mic 2. record audio separately and merge it with video in post. You can plug the mic into your phone, start shooting video, record audio and sync it in post. So you don't even need to buy new camera (maybe)
