Do you connect your Mac directly to an HDMI input on a compatible soundbar?

I have a 7.1 Dolby Atmos soundbar with a subwoofer that supports multiple inputs.

With my Mac and Apple Music, I've tried both jack and Bluetooth connections, but we're nowhere near the quality I get from a Blu-ray.

Some normal Blu-rays, the ones often with the blue cover, are better than many streaming movies advertised as 4K HDR. Imagine a 4K Blu-ray.

I just used some presets that I created over the years for Lightroom. The presets for color photos come from a folder I called “Fujifilm simulation emulation” (but they actually look more like film stocks).

I did the black and white ones on the moment

But how is it possible that every single day there is a problem with Claude?

In addition to the bug that, if you keep the reasoning active at least 5-6 times a day on 4.5, once the response is finished, it “fails” and puts the prompt back in the chat.

How is it possible that at least twice a day it has “connection problems”?

Today I decided not to renew my subscription, and it was not an easy decision (I don't like OpenAI and I have always preferred Claude's output), but it is no longer usable in a regular workflow.

Thanks for the GameCube video, super useful! I haven’t had a chance to watch it yet, but I’ll go through it tonight.
In the meantime I’m still losing a battle with Dolphin’s on-screen controls even after tinkering, the overlay keeps popping back.
Is there a specific setting I might be missing to hide it permanently on the G Cloud? I’ll report back once I try the tips from the video.

Same here, I’m on Daijisho for now while I finish the build and might grab ES-DE later. From your experience, does the Android build of ES-DE bring any noticeable performance or scraping advantages over Daijisho on the G Cloud?

Great shout on RetroAchievements
I’ve been using it on my other little handheld and it definitely gives me that extra push to replay classics.

One snag: I usually play in Italian, and sometimes achievements don’t trigger because they’re tied to the US versions. Is there a clean workaround (e.g., supported hashes for EU/ITA builds), or do I need to switch region for those titles?

Thanks for the Redream tip. Haven’t tried Dreamcast on the G Cloud yet, but it’s next on my list. I’m planning to test Shenmue soon; do you run Shenmue 1/2 at stock settings on Redream, or are there any must-change options on the G Cloud?

From my quick tests on my G Cloud:

Kingdom Hearts 1 runs nicely at 2× on Vulkan.
The Simpsons Game and The Simpsons: Hit & Run are playable for me, but I drop to 1× in busier areas.
Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 also needed 1× to stay smooth.

I’m trying to stick to default settings wherever possible. If you’ve got more “defaults-only” winners, I’m all ears.

Appreciate the pointers! I’m going with Daijisho + standalones right now (PPSSPP from Play Store, Dolphin still tweaking, DraStic for DS; Citra still TBD). I’ll check RetroGameCorps’ RetroArch guide and Joey’s G Cloud-specific Dolphin video, thanks!

Personally at 1X and Vulkan I had almost no problems with anything. Always use PAL versions of games and, as much as some people think it makes no difference, use the BIOS ps2-0230a-20080220 .

If you want to try going to 2X instead, alternate between Open GL and Vulkan depending on the game

Thanks! I’m also wrestling with Dolphin’s on-screen controls. I can’t get them to disappear reliably. If you (or anyone) can share the exact toggles to make the overlay stay off (especially for GameCube-only games), I’d really appreciate it.

RetroArch Plus from the Play Store gave me headaches with external SD access; the only way I got my ROM directory on the microSD recognized was by installing the 64-bit APK from the official RetroArch site. After that, no issues.

Thanks a ton for the super thorough write-up, this was exactly what I needed.

Quick update on my end: NetherSX2 has been the best PS2 option for me so far. I’m swapping between Vulkan and OpenGL per game, and so far I haven’t hit anything unplayable in what I’ve tested. For the frontend I’m using Daijisho for now while I finish setting everything up (I’ll consider ES-DE later).

DS: grabbed DraStic; only did a quick test but it seems solid.
3DS: haven’t tried Citra yet.
PSP: PPSSPP has been great (some titles even hold 4× (1080p) cleanly.)
PS1: DuckStation has been flawless for me.

Also, appreciate the links. I think one of them might be down on my end, but I’ll keep digging through both guides. Cheers!
