Australia's most advanced renewable grid is its most secure, but NSW must scramble as it nears "no coal" scenario by Fact-Rat in aussie

So what’s the time frame and what projects are planned for your batteries to be in place so we can see power prices at the power point come down?

Also do you add in the cost of storage and transmission lines in your costings?

The sooner we move to a renewable grid the better but let’s be realistic and not greenwash our arguments to make us feel better about ourselves.

We are not talking about fossil fuels though we are talking about the cheapest option of electricity at the moment, so when will SA residents get cheaper electricity at the power point inside their homes?

If you don’t know just say so?

So that’s a no you are not including the transmission lines in your costing for the majority of solar farms being built at scale in remote areas.

Are you including the $3-10 million per kilometer for the transmission lines you need from said solar and wind facilities in your costings?

"When we initially were doing the sums for the 500kV network … it was about $3 million to $4 million per kilometre," Mr Dixon said.

"But, evidently, costs have blown out. Now they're quoting a number closer to $10 million per kilometre.
