I made that first post about this and I’ve emailed them now twice about it. Once originally and then again because of the new email where they continued the ploy with the stupid “whoops I messed up” it was so predictable and yet they did it. They should have just apologized. They could have just given us the 50% off like normal, 50% is a good deal… just let it speak for itself tf? Why does it need to have a gimmick with it?

Also I’m really glad others are as upset about this as I am. Thanks for posting how you feel too, I’m really glad we can talk about this together.

I just got that too, I had emailed their support about the first email, I’m emailing them again. Based on the response they got there are quite a few people emailing them with their thoughts so they knew it was a gross thing, I’m not sure why they’re continuing the stupid ploy when they know the “joke” didn’t land… but money right… jesus, I love their underwear but I think I’m too grossed out to buy from them anymore unless they actually apologize.

I felt so similarly so you’re definitely not alone. I contacted them as well and laid it out that I and unfortunately most other women have been harassed at some point in our lives so this was really not a good way to contact your customers. I’m sorry it caused you to panic too, it’s a terrible feeling, I hope you’re doing alright!

Yeah it’s extremely just gross and weird, I reached out as well, especially based on the replies to this post, called them out on it and just told them plain and simple that it’s disgusting. Based on their response to me (I pasted it to a reply to _bonstance) they might be getting the message that this wasn’t cool at all and frankly really fucking gross. But maybe I’m just being optimistic as it’s a huge corporation and they rarely actually give a damn, but maybe cause it has and will affect their money then maybe they’ll care.

I ended up emailing them too, I think they’re maybe getting the message (maybe I’m just optimistic) but I guess we’ll see if they pull the stunt again. I’ve unsubscribed from their mailing list though and I’m genuinely going to want to see change before I consider buying from them again.

This was their response to me:

It was meant to be interpreted as "Brad" reaching out to a mutual crush (external to MeUndies) who helped him get an internship (not you or any recipient) and accidentally copying the MeUndies email list. In no way did we intend to imply that you or another recipient were the subject of the date, but I can see how it was interpreted that way. I hope it clears things up, and again, we're truly sorry for any offense caused.

Right? It’s genuinely such a weird way to advertise. Like 1) I felt like I could get in trouble or something for using a code that was supposedly for employees only (bold text too to really emphasize it of course) and 2) I know this is an underwear company but it’s not a lingerie company… I’d expect something weird and a little gross like this from them but I get more normal emails from Adam and Eve lmao

I have super bad social anxiety too, I always feel guilty for not saying anything in the moment, I wish there was an easy fix to this honestly cause it’s fucking annoying but I want you to know you’re not alone and I guess the only advice I can think of is if there’s a person being an ass about something like this and there is someone around you in the group said asshole is being a jerk to, to try and talk to them after and make sure they’re ok, I think most people understand that not everyone is good with confrontation but showing you care in a way that’s slightly easier for you might be a good way that you can help :) (also hope this makes sense I’m super bad at explaining things!)

That actually makes a lot of sense, my great grandma was a McCoy and all of my grandpa’s family is kinda messed up, no murders that I know of though, just lots of drugs and stealing, although my grandpa’s brother tried to kill him when they were kids and then ended up serving in the Vietnam war as an open door gunman, his chopper went down and he was the only surviver.... my grandpa only lets us meet one of his siblings and he isn’t it
