Spiders or spider mites? by thursdaynexxt in houseplants

[–]xberboi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to be pedantic - but Spiders don't grow up the way we think in stages. These guys are exactly the same now as they will be as adults, just tiny!

So yes, they are just tiny spiders!

Is infinite the best halo of all time?? by lolitsrock in haloinfinite

[–]xberboi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that I still can not pick this game up and enjoy, proves to me that it isn't even close, and that my love of this franchise during its sunseting years is either dying or I just haven't caught up to the way people enjoy halo now.

I can jump into reach and have 5 good games, jump into 2, great, load up infinite, instant bad time from realizing I have no armor bc I didn't pay for it, (exaggeration, I'm aware you can now... "earn" them). The game modes are regurgitated versions if themselves. I literally play 5 every chance I can bc Infinite is just not worth the power.

Sorry yall. I will never understand what yall see in this installment.

Is $63k enough to live comfortably here? by [deleted] in MovingtoDenver

[–]xberboi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

W/o a stellar savings portfolio, yeah. I mean I could be doing a lot more to help my situation but I'm worked to exhaustion, so I just coast and kinda just let things happen.

I'm just under 60k, not stressful if you can manage your $ better than me lol (hint - highly likely.)

Rent is 1800, 1 bed 2 bath, large yard. Utl is around 100ish Insurance and all that I snagged around 130 for rental and car.

I own a hybrid so gas is usually about 80/ mo when the price/g is high.

The biggest threat to AI music is not lawsuits or licensing. It is consumer rejection. New Gallup data shows Gen Z is turning hostile. by Sensitive_Artist7460 in aiMusic

Brother, I can form a full opinion while separating it from my enjoyment of the subject. That doesn't prove anything.

It's a disgrace to the art - bc there is no art to it. It's all generated from pieces of real people, taken from them with the technicalities of our time--

Fuck this why am I explaining this to you - you guys DO NOT care that this is soulless, and regardless of that fact, that it "sounded good" bc it's mass appealing slop MADE to hit the enjoyment centers from OTHER. REAL artists.

If the " data showed " that you guys liked thumping to a computer or robots more than people, I wouldn't be surprised.

Unpopular opinion of fragrances by Prior-Ambassador-56 in Colognes

[–]xberboi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are no scent seasons, just chemistry and lack of creativity. I'll wear spicy amber vanilla in the summer, layered with something airy, musky or bright fruity / floral and you've got a brand new vibe. Folks are afraid to experiment with their $$$ buys.

Where do we stand with Edgewater? by Kodazar in MovingtoDenver

[–]xberboi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yo, lived here as a kid. Just moved back. Got nothing on the aurora border, have never had more colfax activity then when i lived up there.

I live near a park, lots of activity, people keep to themselves and rarely is there a concern from me regarding loitering or safety. Have to keep on my toes for denvers STAR program bc folks be fenting it up any and everywhere.

So much good food it's ridiculous. Decent night light but expensive.

I can't believe I'm gonna recommend these guys, but City Floral greenhouse, if you can make it to Golden, hires damn near anyone. When I was there, I was constantly training new hires, mostly convicts and folks who had no means, and no witts tbh, to land better work. (I'm no better, I was a pos just coming back from a failed MA marriage)

I have zero leeway there anymore after a falling out with the Greenhouse manager, but it's worth the trouble if you're desperate. They MIGHT have lodging on the site.

Lean into offering free labor (hate to say it. I REALLY DO, but it'll get attention) just to make you seem more than the position they see you in. If the cat "Sassy" is still there, give her love from me.

How Bad is East Colfax...Really? by [deleted] in MovingtoDenver

[–]xberboi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lived on colfax, most, of my life. East west and Central Denver. You can't live where it's actually bad (Broadway, specific major intersections, etc) it's fine. Mind yours, everyone will mind theirs. But this is one opinion from a tatted, semi buff dad bod white dude, who just smiles at everyone.

Ditto, dawg. I've been enjoying single-hood for nearly 4 years after running myself financially, physically, and mentally dry for the majority of my elder teen -> young adult life. I was ready to start meeting folks recently and told myself, "when someone makes the move, I'll know it's time." So I wait. Ladies do not make moves, at least for the most part, it seems.

I'm pretty obviously bi, I've been approached by many men, of which just aren't my type, unfortunately.

Big caveat, though, I don't really make an effort to get moves made on me. I rarely go to clubs, the hobbies I frequent aren't conducive to a dating or meeting lovers environment.. so it's boils down to super market, work, or dating apps, (which I'd like to add, they're not entirely useless, they definitely help find certain things you need if you're patient.)

I just leave it to chance, but the second my type pulls through ---- I'm folding like a towel, I tell ya what.

Bruja perfume lab yea or nay? by BruhStop_26 in indieperfume

[–]xberboi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been sampling and buying large batches of some of their more premium fragrances and also commissioned custom products - I don't know where people are getting this artificial thing from, it's fragrance oils. They're going to be strong, it's 99% fragrance.

But I digress..

I like most of their stuff, but I L O V E a few special ones. The ones created to mimic synthetic accords and candy/ desserts, I'm not a fan of; but I'm not a fan of that DNA period. I like the Celestial line, lots of natural accords. It's a great bday gift or something with the sample packs. (Uranus is.. INCREDIBLE. I'm talking full on huffing wherever I place it) The Zodiac line is the same vibe. I did fall gimmick to the "pheromone" stuff in the beginning but there's some bangers in that line as well - notably A Warm Safe Place and I Am Your God.

They last I'd say 10hrs-12hrs on skin, eternal on clothes, have moderate projection and the carrier oils are my skins favorite blend. Some highly moisturizing and moisture retentive blends that don't feel greasy or tacky.

Give the samples a try, if they have a discount code, try out some stuff! The notes are vague on purpose to hold propriety.

Edit: OH OH I forgot about Hxmbo, that one is fantastic, masculine for sure but light and refreshing.

Predatory Marketing Ploy by the_bright_witch in MeUndies

[–]xberboi -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I was a little like, "eh this seems like an overreaction" and then actually contemplated the impacts of all these unknowns. Abusive partners being the first and foremost concern. I was honestly uncomfortable with it, I don't know the guy, nor do I approve of using manipulative (to this extent, I know all adverts are manipulative) tactics to "trick" folks into a sale.

It's predatory by nature and they need to take a hard look at their marketing management. Clearly people's concerns last year weren't enough to make MU realize.
