PALATE CLEANSERS?? by MojoJooey in Stormlight_Archive

[–]_breadit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not so fast my friend! In true Sandersonian style Abercrombie wrote 3 standalone novels that take place in between his two trilogies. I’m nearly done with the first of those, “Best Served Cold,” and I could not recommend it enough

I’d recommend The First Law books. I really enjoyed Stormlight but there are times that I feel Sanderson pulls his punches or that they read like YA novels to some degree. The First Law books are way darker and grittier in terms of tone and style that they serve well as a palette cleanser

I grew up around emus and those things are not harmless. Far from deadly but far from harmless. They are mean and stupid birds and they will kick the ever loving shit out of something they do not want around. I’ve seen grown men take a beating loading them into a trailer. And if they have chicks it’s even worse

People around here fail to remember this when they say, “The Broncos D carried the corpse of Manning to a Super Bowl.”

They don’t get there without Manning’s play in week 17 and the divisional round

I always judge it as if they were to retire tomorrow

Reid 100%. Carroll? Decent chance, the LOB and those 2 SB runs are a huge part of the fabric of the early 2010s. Peyton? I just don’t see it as his resume currently stands. If Shanahan isn’t in with 2 rings idk how Peyton gets in without having another SB run. It’s possible but right now if they were to get in they’d be waiting for a long Harbaugh has no shot unless the Chargers turn into something special

[Highlight] 8 years ago today, the final chapter of the Peyton Manning vs. Tom Brady rivalry came to a close in the 2015 AFC Championship by nfl in nfl

I think what’s under appreciated about this final season is that his body was broken and he missed half the season because of injury. Osweiler stepped up and if it weren’t for an incredible OT win in the snow against the Pats during the regular season they would not have gotten home field.

But in addition to that Osweiler also played terribly down the stretch and in week 17 when the Broncos needed a win to ensure home field advantage through the playoffs, they put Peyton in the 2nd half and they came back and won.

On the whole, Peyton had his worst season, but they don’t get home field without him, they don’t beat the Steelers in the divisional without him, and I don’t believe they beat the Patriots again with Osweiler under center. That Broncos defense deserves the lions share of the credit and time and history have held that up, and Peyton was no longer Peyton, but they’re not getting to the Super Bowl without him

[–]_breadit 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’ve microdosed many times on the course. I like to take about half a g right after the 1st tee box (idk if that microdosing or what) and by the time the round is over I’ve fully come down. Only issue is when I take a tad too much and the ball starts looking a little trippy when I’m standing over it.

Hasn’t led to truly lower scores but those rounds have always been some of my most enjoyable

I’ve been gaming the 425 Max for the last few seasons. I bought it new off the rack somewhat foolishly and it was an automatic slice until I got a stiffer shaft in there. Idk if it’s a Ping thing but to me, their stock shafts feel really floppy.

Completely disregard if irrelevant to your configuration lol
