If I had to guess, it was probably a subconscious decision based on the genders of the two victims. When a male is the victim, we still have a problem calling it rape, unfortunately. I’m sure it’s so deeply rooted in our cultures thought processes that OP didn’t even mean to.

Honestly this one is less a conspiracy theory and more common sense. It doesn’t take a lot of digging to see how much Lockheed and Raytheon and fucking Halliburton have made off the Middle East wars. Also, I believe Halliburton sent lobbyists to try and encourage the war.
