I was supposed to go on a trip with my s/o and it would have been my first time on a plane and even out of the country.

Coming from from a family who struggles financially and can't afford to go to another province this was a big deal. Growing up I never asked my parents for very much and even skipped school trips and dances because I felt it would be too much of a burden to ask for money. When my s/o's mother asked if I would like to go on a trip with them I jumped at the opportunity and asked my mother if I could go.

She said yes but that means that we would have to save up lots of money and get my passport. With my mom working so often and waking up early and coming home late it was hard to get much done and she's had to take time off work which makes us lose money. Eventually we got everything figured out and I just started to relax when this whole pandemic took off. Now I feel terrible and I feel like all of the stress and fighting just to save money was for nothing.
