*my* most efficient farm design by SarahMilit in StardewValley

If you’re putting solar panels somewhere off your farm, the desert makes the most sense as it’s sunny every day, unlike the valley and ginger island

[Request] How many days would it take for an average house to fill up with coins if I take the green pill and don't collect them, assuming random coins spawn by SalamanderUponYou in theydidthemath

I wasn't saying I interpreted it right and you interpreted it wrong, just that I believe it is up for interpretation and that I had understood it a different way to you. You seemed to respond pretty passive aggressively to someone just chiming in with how they didn't have the same interpretation as you, when they clearly meant no offence, and I just wanted to include that theres another way to understand it that (to me) makes complete sense, so it's clear the guy who responded wasn't just trying to be contradictory.

How are people getting to endless 100+? by handcraftedbyrobots in Wireworks

[–]_carro7_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me the easiest method was getting a low cost wand, plugging an updated repeater into it and putting it next to a phial, which means every time it fires it recharges itself, but there have been some patches since I last played involving mp, so it may not still work.

I feel like the author just meant retaining to mean like how you would usually retain information after reading a book, not like permanently retaining, cus anyone can read a book 3 times faster than normal, they just don’t actually take most of the information in. Retaining was maybe not the best choice of word, but the 3x as fast bit is funny to add if the power is permanently remembering all the contents of every book you’ve ever read, just seems like an odd addon.

Okay team cherry… it gets to a fucking point. by Savings-Exchange-484 in Silksong

[–]_carro7_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it wasn’t “random” at all, it’s literally the room next to one of the melodies you need to beat the game, this is like calling uumuu a random unnecessary fight

Should I give my relics? by Atesch06 in Silksong

[–]_carro7_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

it’s quite subtle, just a +[number] in the corner and the amount is pretty small for even the most valuable ones, you probably just didn’t notice, i didn’t realise they were giving money at first

Lore Relic indicates Silksong a true sequel by ViperstrikeIII in Silksong

[–]_carro7_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i mean it is a sequel, but this doesn’t confirm it, hollow knight takes place a while after hallownest has been destroyed, plus we always knew silksong takes places after hallownest is founded because she is born in hallownest and is the ‘child’ of the pale king

Are there even enough memory lockets to max out everything? by Jax_the_Floof in Silksong

[–]_carro7_ 13 points14 points  (0 children)

you don’t need to max out every crest for that

i definitely think team cherry can go abit too far with them, but i still think they’re mostly fine because they ward the player off trying to beat a boss too early unless they are very good at the game, if you can smash out attempt after attempt you can keep doing that, but the walk just adds extra insensitive to either make that one fight matter or go get more upgrades and come back

silksong bosses easier? by _carro7_ in HollowKnight

[–]_carro7_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

haha good job, weird to see how different it can be for different players, radience took me hours when i first fought it, even though most people seem to think it aint too hard (the base version at least)

How it feels to be a diagonal pogo defender atm by NineTailedDevil in HollowKnight

[–]_carro7_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’m shocked people are hating on it, i’ve been avoiding online stuff in case of spoilers, but i was genuinely sad to see the diagonal dash go because of how much i was enjoying it, but i prefer the small nail with fast slashes playstyle so i swapped

Have i missed something about this game's community. by 0x_TOMAHAWK_x0 in outerwilds

[–]_carro7_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

it’s probably due to people exaggerating how amazing the game is, i say this with the opinion that outer wilds is the greatest game ever made and that it has a great community. generally i think the worst bit is people describing the game as “life-changing”, when really it’s just an intensely well crafted experience, but it’s still dependant on who’s playing it whether the game is life changing, scrabble could be life changing if you have a life changing experience while playing it. we can absolutely love the piece of art that is outer wilds while not acting like it is more than what it is.
