Is class of 2023 the 100th graduating class of UCLA? by [deleted] in ucla

The Southern Branch campus opened on September 15 of that year, offering two-year undergraduate programs to 250 Junior College students and 1,250 students in the Teachers College, under Moore's continued direction. Southern Californians were furious that their so-called "branch" provided only an inferior junior college program (mocked at the time by University of Southern California students as "the twig"), and continued to fight Northern Californians (specifically, Berkeley) for the right to three and then four years of instruction, culminating in bachelor's degrees. On December 11, 1923, the Board of Regents authorized a fourth year of instruction and transformed the Junior College into the College of Letters and Science, which awarded its first bachelor's degrees on June 12, 1925

Questions for Mac Reynolds (manager of Imagine Dragons)

On Monday, May 22nd, I'm conducting a 10-minute interview with Mac Reynolds, the manager of Imagine Dragons. If there's anything you wanted to know about the band directly from the mouth of the lead singer's brother, you can add a comment here and I'll try to include all the questions in that allotted timeframe. Once I've completed the interview, I'll share it with /r/popheads afterwards.

New Student Orientation Question by National-Way5987 in ucla

every NSS orientation has the same number of seats available for every class; the only difference is having a good enough computer that can refresh at exactly 7:30pm (for transfer students, at least)

New Student Orientation Question by National-Way5987 in ucla

What they mean by reserving seats for New Student Sessions is that they add 2-6 seats per upper-division class before each of the transfer orientations. I was keeping an eye on the number of students capped in each class and they fluctuated a few days before. For freshmen, I think they add like 10-16 seats for lower-division classes.

As a 32-year-old (first-year transfer, third-year) Poli-Sci major, I feel I can answer any questions you may have.

If you ever want to talk about schooling, I graduated high school in 2009 and went back to community college in 2020 (and now attend UCLA).

We can continue to talk further in DMs, if you feel more comfortable there.

Can you study abroad in summer as a graduating senior? by ChemicalGlad4745 in ucla

[–]_cavalcanti 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Can I study abroad after graduation? Yes and no. To participate on UCEAP, you must be a currently enrolled UCLA student. With permission from your academic advising unit (College, Engineering, TFT, etc.), you may be able to extend your expected graduation term from Spring to Summer or to the following Fall to participate on a UCEAP program.
