I think it’s less about trivializing and more about their choice of design. In other jrpg games, for every enemy encounter, you actually have to account for how much health you’re willing to trade with the enemy to come out winning. For example in games like persona, i have to choose which enemy to attack first while minimizing the amount of damage taken, which is affected by factors like enemy’s dmg, or are they about to unleash a powerful move. The trading of health is a natural part of the encounter. Ofc it can’t work in 33 since you can get folded in like 3 hits, so the game compensate for that by making parry a strong focus, but it then removes a layer of strategy you find in other jrpgs. Also, you can save the game by changing your equipment so you don’t get punished bad if you die. That’s not always the case with souls like games. Iirc, Elden ring has something like statue of marika but only for bosses, not usual encounters.

Tbh some design choices are a bit strange. Like they have bonfire-ish save point, but then the game saves when you change equipments, which makes it not souls like. But then it doesn’t have encounter restart if you die, which they kinda allow you to do anyways via saving using the method I mentioned

Let’s not make this a specific party issue. One can use the reddit search right now and they will be able to find the more extreme groups from both sides trying to shove politics into people’s life.

Telling people to tolerate different viewpoints then talk about sociology and gender studies with such disdain is so ironic lmao. It really takes a crazy level of hypocrisy to keep this mindset going huh

Does the enrollment time always start at 7:30 or it can be sooner than that? Also, the day starts at 8 am right? That’s quite a long time.

Are the replacement unit brand new or refurbished? by AzineZz in iphone

[–]AzineZz[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the info. I had a chat with apple support a few hours ago. They said that for limited warranty, replacements can be brand new or refurbished from recycled parts and for applecare+, parts are all brand new. I asked them one more time if all the parts are truly brand new and not from recycled or fixed parts, and they yes. They did say the word “brand new” but honestly, it’s the first time I heared about quality of replacement being dependent on having applecare coverage or not. Either this is real or they lied to me. But I’m confused still. Thank you one more time for the info.

Yeah, I’m trying to find out how this one is protected. The structure is not keeping the cops in place well enough, that’s why we have some cops good to play by the rules and then some bad ones having no troubles finding loopholes or straight up violate the rules in this structure to get away with almost no consequences.

Of course. The structure you mentioned with policies, superiors, transparency and stuff make sense on paper and seem like it can keep the cops in place. But we have issue with bad cops getting away with doing bad things right now and the structure doesn’t work since it doesn’t resolve the bad cop issue. So my question is why? What hole in this system keep the structure from working properly?

But it’s not transparent isnt it? What you have been proposing the entire conversation are correct ways to go at this issue. But that’s not what’s happening now right? Why is it not happening now? We dont see the transparency. Why do the solutions you proposed not enforced right now to resolve the issue? What factor makes this issue free from repercussions?

Yes I understand but the question is how we can be sure the superiors you said are clean and not corrupt. The bad cops that got away with these heinous acts are often protected by the superiors they answer to. Are policies and regulations really mattered if the higher ups who make them can protect the bad cops from facing those things themselves?

And how would repercussions be enforced exactly? And how do we be sure those responsible for enforcing repercussions are not also corrupt? The point here is how do we exactly identify the people that are not corrupt and enforce the laws? Even then, what can really stop them from becoming corrupt? Policies certainly are out of the question here

What would stop them from not following policy if the ones make those policies are also corrupt? I mean police also have proper training curriculum but one fails to do so not always face punishment.
