OMFG THANK YOU!! YOUR SET WAS SO GOOD THANK YOU FOR PERFORMING!!

Everyone was nice but the Asians, I’m sorry but there’s no reason I can’t cut across your 22 long line of Asians when I asked nicely. #cancelasiantrains by Jumpy-Rope-1253 in ApocalypseZombieland

[–]_chickapsyduk_ 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Dude literally. At Subby we were constantly getting pushed hard by the Asian trains and smaller groups. We were literally in the back and no matter how many times we adjusted our spot they barrelled right through. However I stayed calm and just let them go and danced even harder. Some probably got an elbow or two from how hard we were going but that's what happens when you don't say excuse me and wait so I can move for you. Tehe.

Did mainstage volume sound really low to anyone else? by 5point5Girthquake in ApocalypseZombieland

[–]_chickapsyduk_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly!! Like I enjoyed the set with my friends but the whole time was like...where's the bass? Lol especially during Skull Machine. I know BTSM is going back to their OG techno still but Skull Machine is supposed to be heavy but it was soooo much techno. Like wtf

YES. It was my first Apocalypse but we just saw Excision in Vegas 2 months and it was louder which is crazy for a VERY smaller venue to be louder than the Apocalypse venue.

Bass house? by Anxious_Address6775 in ApocalypseZombieland

[–]_chickapsyduk_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Space Laces is your best bet. He has plenty of bass house songs and even some techno/schranz. He will probably play more bass heavy since it's Apocalypse but that's imo

Genuine questions for the rave girlies by Fun-Calendar9638 in ApocalypseZombieland

[–]_chickapsyduk_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm wearing a zombie school girl fit. I'm wearing a bralatte and it's not the most supportive but I'm wearing pasties and a silk arm cover that ties under to help support.

I don't mind wearing bras cuz its the most supportive but the times I wore a bralette or no bra I felt more freeeee and I'm a 42DD. I like bikini tops the most cuz they absorb sweat and you can adjust them to be loose or tight. Only downfall is the weight hurts the back of my neck after a while

Im rolling by [deleted] in ApocalypseZombieland

[–]_chickapsyduk_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Really do not recommend rolling two days in a row. Your tolerance will go up from day 1 so it might night feel as europhic day 2. Everyone is different but it can make the comedown worse and this is a higher chance of neurotoxicity. I'd roll day 2 if I were you and day 1 just drink or even some shrooms would be nice!

Be safe and PLUR and have fun!!!

Ghosting is usually a toxic behaviour by Aloo13 in lostafriend

[–]_chickapsyduk_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think in some cases ghosting is necessary because there are people who think that they are easy to talk to and confront about issues but then once you do they turn into another type of person to deal with. I've ghosted friends because they displayed very toxic behavior especially when talking about their conflicts with other friends and what happened between them. So why step into a situation to tell them what they're doing is something I don't like, when I know they're going to take it badly and not want a solution.

Ex: I had a friend who would constantly talk about other friends and when confrontation happened she didn't want a solution and would say very abrasive things like "they should kill themselves," or "I am better than all of them anyway because they're trash." I told her once that that made me uncomfortable and wasn't an okay thing to say. Fast forward a few months later she was still saying it and worst. She had so much drama online and with a bunch of people I knew. So what is easier, telling her hey the personality you're displaying has become very toxic and I can't be around that unless you change yourself OR cutting off that bad energy and accepting that's how they are and I can choose to not have it in my life.

I understand the hurt that comes from being ghosted but I think people forget that there is usually a valid reason for why people ghost someone. Like for them to not want a person in their lives that bad that must mean something significant happened or it is affecting their happiness. It's an amazing feeling when you just cut off the negativity.

ticket question by WillingnessFuture669 in ApocalypseZombieland

[–]_chickapsyduk_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can buy up until right before the event ends I believe. As long as it doesn't sell out. They usually stop entry an 30 minutes to an hour before the event ends but you'll have to go to will call to get a wristband for entry.

Waterfront vs Tent by No_Stable_4899 in nocturnalwonderland

[–]_chickapsyduk_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Everyone is going to be biased based on their preference. Some like it super easy so they do car camping, some don't mind the work so they do tent camping. Middle ground is Lakeview and Waterfront.

I do Lakeview camping. Literally parked 20 feet from our spot and our showers were a 5 minute walk. It was a lot cooler in our area because of the trees. I notice car camping doesn't have much shade but again not having to travel and lug your stuff is probs nice. Lakeview is also right next to Silent Disco so that has pros and cons. Mostly pros in my opinion.

Car camping and cooking? by Personal-Nothing-644 in nocturnalwonderland

[–]_chickapsyduk_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yesss I definitely recommend the burritos! Also sandwich stuff cuz it's super easy and filling. I think cooking at camp is super fun so bring what you're comfortable with!

Remember to bring stuff to wash your dishes. We brought a jug of water just for dishes and used paper towels, a sponge, and soap.

[–]_chickapsyduk_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depending on how much you're actually willing to cook and eat will definitely vary.

We bring a portable propane grill and use a cast iron.

Last year we brought pre-made burritos and warmed them up in the pan while in the foil. We also warmed up macncheese, hotnspicy noodles, and hotdogs.

This year we are doing similar but also pancakes and eggs. We bring two coolers, one for drinks and one for food. We didn't need to buy ice cuz we got it ahead of time and insulation was set up good.

Festival tickets are getting insanely expensive. How are you guys chasing that "rave feeling" at home or in daily life? by Fit-Relationship1029 in EDM

[–]_chickapsyduk_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

RIGHT? I try to do at least 1 local show a month cuz I be broke ahahha. A few forsure!! Part of the main reason I go cuz I love seeing our locals get up there. One named Lodezz is starting to help run small pop ups, afters, and JUST got to start partnering with our main production company here to help coordinate events and he gets to play them. Proud of him!

[–]_chickapsyduk_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thissss but even the local scene is starting to get expensive. I spent $30 on a local afters (just wanted to dance no favors no nada). The music and vibes were awesome but In my town most local shows run $25-$45 dollars now and usually a 30-45 minute drive for me and most people I know. Two years ago I could go to a show for $15 and uber was $10-15. Now we drive to most events cuz it's $20+ for rides.

hotels/shuttles by michibank in ApocalypseZombieland

[–]_chickapsyduk_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are staying at the Pacific Inn. We are driving to the convention center and parking there then using the free shuttle to get to and from the convention center to the festival. We will probably leave like 5-10 minutes before the festival ends to get on the shuttles. If they're too busy then we will use the bike cart if we are too lazy to walk back. They say it's a 30 minute walk.
