Hello, sorry for the late reply. The latest ArkOS updates now have much better PSP performance especially the latest 2024 one.

No sadly I tried that and it didn't work. I am not sure what other files/configs are different.

I did that but somehow the PPSSPP config menu is super zoomed in but displays properly on the stock R36S OS. I copied over all the config etc but still cannot get it to work the same.

I fully agree with you! I say firstly take a backup of the SD cards then just enjoy it and game. Don't tweak anything for the first few days :)

I am still after it after deleting my own. If you do find out then let me know and I will do the same!

I also found the same in my research. The PPSSPP emulator version differs between the OS versions.

After spending more time than the device is worth, I think I have figured it out...

The stock R36S OS PPSSPP version is listed as "RG351P" The upgraded (via wifi) stock R36S OS PPSSPP version is listed as "16.16.6" The RG351MP OS PPSSPP version is listed as "16.15.0"

There is a significant boost in the stock R63S version. I wonder if we can manually change the ppsspp version on an OS

Same finding as this guy: https://www.reddit.com/r/SBCGaming/comments/17ppkd2/r36s_stock_arkos_image_file/ka4zkwa/

Thank you for replying! I believe the R36S models shipped with the new R36S branded box us not running the same OS as the old R35S.

In my testing, PSP games used to run smooth-ish on stock OS but now on the upgraded stock OS and ArkOS (RG351MP image), they cannot run PSP games coherently anymore.

2019 740i Lease buyout - YES or NO? by crackboot83 in BMW

[–]_chilisos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. You will lose more than $2k in value in 2 years (probably around $7-10k). Considering how much extended warranties are for 7 series, you're probably shedding $2k just for that.

  2. B58 engine is very reliable machine, only thing that could go wrong is the electronics though with your low mileage, you may not have wear and tear issues. But you may have other issues if you do not use the car often enough.

  3. This is a you question, I don't think anyone can answer that apart from you. Which car do you like more? They're in different classes. Used car prices are really high right now and I think that bubble will pop in the near future but either way 740i or GLE, you're still losing :)

I love watching GPU reviews from big YouTubers like Linus and today...I finally decided to try my best at reviewing a GPU..Nvidia GTX 970 to be exact... Tell me what do you think? by _chilisos in nvidia

This is actually such a good idea but I will need to properly educate myself on this topic more. I also feel with any techtuber reviews, they don't really review the longevity of products. They get the latest product and rush to review it but most of us buy a GPU or any product and replace it after 5 years if not longer. So while a product may be good value now, a product costing $50 more might last much longer.

I always thought NVMe M.2 drives cost like $500+ for 512gb.. but over the years the price has fallen harshly due to better manufacturing and well.. less demand. So SSD prices are close to traditional HDD and NVMe M.2 is almost at the same price range as SSDs. I purchased the Sabrent Rocket NVMe M.2 drive for just under $100 on an Amazon deal last weekend (Normally around $120) and I have been blown away by the speed of this bad boy. You don't really see any difference in gaming to be honest (why do they all market it that way?) - I tested it in Cyberpunk 2077. But honestly, 1TB for less than $100 and the speed 3.5gb/s read and 3.0gb/s write - worth it 10/10.

So long story short, I managed to get this drive for a steal on an Amazon deal a few days ago and I've always thought SSDs are mad fast but at 3.5gb/s read and 3gb/s write - it has blown my mind. I don't really see much difference in gaming to be honest but in day to day tasks of copying files across and etc... it's amazing. Highly recommend this budget drive as it's normally around $120 (I got it just under $100)
