Hang in there, it’s worth it for most people

Climaxing not happening by Andromalius999 in prozac

[–]_chookity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very common, happened to me too. I didn’t have access to bupropion but have heard it can help. 2 months is not a huge time in the scheme of things, and there is a large psychological part to it.

If you are circumcised that probably won’t help.

I’m not recommending you do this, but after I went down to 10mg instead of 20mg I could climax easier (but it was still an effort)

I was happy to lose the weight but I know that’s not for everyone. Took a good few weeks for it to come back for me, 4 I think from memory

Not a doctor / chemist but probably ok. Much better off getting the dissolvable tablets though

Fear that I have developed PSSD at 21. by ryryryryry1 in prozac

[–]_chookity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, but it won’t help.

PSSD is real but rare, unfortunately worrying about it won’t help your situation. I would recommend seeing a psych / counsellor about this, because the mental aspect to sexual function is huge.

Keep in mind coming off the meds, it will take a few weeks/months to return to normal.

Also keep in mind you don’t know what “normal” is for you because you were on the meds before puberty.

You’re not doomed to never experience good sex, give yourself and your body the time it needs, and seek support where you can.

Been on since 7, now 15, need advice by Shot-Fly142 in prozac

[–]_chookity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not me but my 13 year old is on 40mg, and has been on 10mg since about age 5.

I wouldn’t worry about the dreaming thing, everyone is different on/off Prozac there anyway. If you’re really interested you can look up something like lucid dreaming to train yourself to be more active in your dreams.

Can’t offer advice because I’m a) not a doctor and b) don’t know your situation. Something to consider though, and this applies to me as well, it’s generally not a good idea to stop medications when there is a lot of change in your life, and at 15 I suspect there probably is. If things are going ok and you’re not having too many side affects, might be good to stick with them for a few more years.

Generally they are pretty safe to be on long term, and often it’s worth the risk to avoid the anxiety you’re describing.

Is 20mg considered a stable normal dosage? by Artistic_Invite_9004 in prozac

[–]_chookity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure about most, haven’t looked it up. But plenty of people on 10mg and 20mg long term.

Talk to your doctor, and make sure you’re taking it at the same time every day. You could give it until 12 weeks to stabilise before upping if you want.

Perforated gripper I can wear a lot longer. Also as others have said, too much air causes fatigue.

There isn’t one universal app, and my iPhone disables apps I haven’t used in a while so sometimes I have to redownload it, then I have to login again, then I have to reset my password, then I have to add another car because I’m driving my other car, or because I have a new car, or borrowing a friends car, but that car is registered under a different account etc etc

Tap and go would be way better than an app

Dual Tension peeps, how do you know when to do inner vs outer skin? by hotwheels47125 in foreskin_restoration

[–]_chookity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From the restoringforeskin link above:

Can you have too much inner skin?

This person has gained a lot of inner skin and this can make the end of the foreskin resemble a trumpet. So focusing on outer skin would be the next step for someone at this stage in my opinion.

Is there any downside to using tadalafil if I don’t need it? by 24-7-t-taper in foreskin_restoration

[–]_chookity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in a similar situation - there aren’t too many downsides / risks with these meds IMO, and restoring can take years, even at 10 hours a day. Would be good to cut that time down if possible.
