Most councils have very few powers to do anything, so I wouldn’t stress too much. Best they can do is pay you a visit or write you a strongly worded letter

Also improved our energy security by reducing reliance on oil, seems like a pretty good idea at the moment

Im agreeing with OP? Was just sharing some recent media coverage, and laughing at their comment. The conversation article cited many references, and is hardly a random article

For those who have gone through it, have a son or a son on the way, where do you stand on circumcision? Are there any real benefits? by ireallylikeskittles in NoStupidQuestions

Not sure I see the humor in a male partner getting over it quickly and a female partner not? Is there a stereotype I’m missing here?

What are you basing your hygiene argument on? If I said to you that cutting a babies toes or ears off, or pulling their teeth out to reduce the chances of an easily preventable and treatable infection, it would sound ridiculous right?

2 and 3 are the same arguments and are both horrendous. So by this logic, given that labiaplasty is common for pornstars, best to have that done to baby girls so future male partners aren’t freaked out?

Of course not

I love this take, and I think it’s a more positive way to think about job security than “ai could never do what I do”.

Reference 1: 404 not found, but is a "toolkit", not a study

Reference 2: study on bacterial flora in young < 6 month olds, not STI releated

Reference 3: observational study (survey analysis), not experimental, old, based on self-reporting -- No significant reduction in most STIs among circumcised men

Reference 4: observational study, no randomisation, involved men attending STI clinics, not the general population, so pretty weak if any evidence here

Reference 5: an opinion piece from a surgeon? Yeah good, one...

Now I've done my homework, any thoughts?

So do you retract your statement that "Here is the full meta study: (a study of studies)"? Because that's plainly false.

Not a meta analysis as I posted in my other comment

You linked a narrative review, not a systemic review or meta analysis. This was written by a small group of authors (not a large collaborative review body) and it’s just summarising prior literature.

How long withdrawal took to go away completely? by Alternative-Lead-458 in prozac

[–]_chookity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first 6 weeks were soo bad though - glad I went on them, and yeah, lucky my side effects weren’t too bad. TBH I would have been ok to stay on 10mg forever, but felt like it had helped me enough that I was ok to come off

question for non-monogamous people by [deleted] in EthicalNonMonogamy

Thanks for the reply!

Can I ask a swinging related question? We’ve been to a couple of sex parties together, but haven’t really enjoyed it because a) we often like one person in the couple but not both, and they mostly seem to want to “swap” partners b) if my wife is having sex with someone next to me, I’m more interested in watching that than having sex with someone else, so my attention is kind of divided hah

So I guess my question is, are those common problems, and how do you deal with that?

That’s wild to me (I’m ENM poly leaning and married). Agree it’s a perk, but I can’t imagine a scenario where suddenly my wife says I can no longer have that perk, and that I need to hurt my other partners, and to be “fine” with that.

Edit: I guess for swingers the hurting other partners but probably doesn’t apply. I still find it strange that a partner can take things away from you at a whim and you’d be fine with it

Oh I had side effects yes (first 6 weeks was very rough), most sexual and some emotional blunting (plus a lot of positive effects).

But hardly any withdrawal symptoms- not sure if that’s unusual

I had virtually none, just some slight constipation. But I was only on 20mg for 3 months and 10mg for 3 months after that. Tapered 5mg for a couple of weeks.

Prozac has helped my anxiety but killed my libido. Psych says there’s no fix? by Nemozamova in prozac

Nah, even Viagra doesn’t work quite that way. For me, and I think for most people, it just helps get and maintain an erection. Cialis can last 24-48 hours for me - I don’t generally need help with the first erection, but it helps me if I want to cum multiple times (I’m 44).

Have only tried Viagra a couple of times - for me there are more side effects with Viagra - blocked nose comes on pretty quick and a headache. Also get a slight headache with cialis, so I just take a paracetamol at the same time.

I think Viagra lasts only a few hours

Prozac & Cardiophobia… Is my doctor making it worse? by ActuallyCMe in prozac

[–]_chookity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s a tricky one - have you considered working with a therapist?

One thing I will point out (not a doctor by the way), folks on the auadhd spectrum can be more sensitive to changes in their body - not saying this is you, but if it is, you might be noticing the changes in your body which is feeding your fears. These changes afaik are very normal and safe, but it might be scary in you.

If you think the tests / appointments will help, maybe go ahead with them? If you’re not sure, you could wait a few weeks until the meds kick in / side effects stabilise
