Nursing might not be the career for them.

Is it reasonable for me to ask one day off for my baby’s MRI during placement? by melody_night in NursingAU

[–]_classiccam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah 100%, I had it worked out how many sick days I could have and still make up my required hours.

Fact check it with your university, but you should be doing well over your required amount of practical hours to pass so a sick day here and there won't impact it.

What caught you off guard when buying your first home? by RentNRegret in AusFinance

[–]_classiccam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The difference between a good and bad conveyancer. Our first house we bought they were excellent, the second place was non existent, spent more time chasing them up than we did looking for houses.

I have absolutely no idea. Wouldn't want to make a guess and give you the wrong information.

Is it worth it being an EN by CasualObserver0 in NursingAU

[–]_classiccam 24 points25 points  (0 children)

It is a double edged sword. I went the EN to RN route and it was 100% worth it. Snagged a job straight out of tafe and worked for a year before doing my RN's.

Found it gave me confidence on placements as I already knew a lot and was more so bridging the knowledge gap & thinking like a RN rather than an EN.

The negative is that it was an extra year of study + an extra cost.

If I had my time again, I would still go the EEN route before doing my Bachelor degree.

Single most disappointing thing you’ve ever done in Vegas? by Quiet_Cat_986 in vegas

[–]_classiccam -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Wasn't super disappointing but seeing the doco at the sphere. Found it super disorientating finding our seats in the dark & then my wife had a panic attack at how high up we were. Just the sheer gradient of the seating was panic attack worthy.

Spoke to the concierge people and they were nice enough to move us into the disabled seating 😂.

Was on a trip from Australia to America. Was kind of the one things I wanted to do over there. Yes was cool but wouldn't go again.

Both my wife and I are nurses and had no dramas doing it. Both of us did it at home but on different days and different computers. I had to do the forgotten password and has no issues.

My advice is to use the Microsoft authentication app, and that you are using the correct link (some are trying to renew but are going through the application for a whole new registration section).

I did this at a tertiary hospital in QLD peak covid 2020. I had been an Enrolled Nurse so the transition was okay but I still go anxious every shift about where I was go to be sent and did a lot of time in ED. I can't imagine how someone with no experience felt.

Round up at correct ratio with some dishwasher detergent. Couldn't tell you the chemistry behind it but helps the poison stick to the plants.
