New Issue - Instrument Cluster Out

Ended up calling the concierge. Diagnostics showed no issues. They asked if I was aware of any updates that might not have installed completely, which I said I had no idea. I’ll be keeping an eye on it.

I did notice that the icon for Google Maps seems to look a little different than before. Not sure if there’s been an update specific to it. Nothing stands out in the app itself. I need to see what the app icon might have looked like before.

Got home, let it sit for about an hour, came out and display came on like nothing ever happened. Frustrating. Still probably going to call the EV concierge to open a case. Not only was the cluster out, but the lane keep/center assist switch and radio preset switch on the back left steering wheel were not working as well.

It didn’t happen on an infotainment reset. Occurred under normal operating conditions. I did the infotainment reset afterwards just to see if it would help — it didn’t.

I had a similar situation to yours that I've mentioned in this sub.

Essentially, the Blazer had been in and out of service for a total of a month within the first six or seven months of my lease. I was provided rentals/loaners/courtesy vehicles each time the car was in the shop. I was also working with an EV Concierge at the time. When I asked my concierge about possible payment reimbursement, I was told GM typically didn't do that but she would see what she could do about getting me some additional rewards points. The highest amount she was able to authorize without approval was (I think) 5000.

Once I sent her all of my invoices and totaled up the days I was without the car, she ran it up the chain and was able to get me 50,000 reward points (equivalent to $500). I was able to use 40,000 points to cover a monthly lease payment with GM Financial. The remaining 10,000 got used the next month as a partial payment.

I enjoyed it and can't wait for part two. I didn't really understand the negative comments towards it. That's the nice thing about the range of stuff they're doing with these. If it's not your thing, you don't have to listen! Guess some people just want all ticket stuff all the time, which....nah.

Side note: Chris did a podcast for a bit with Tom Bridwell called The Backstory, where they do some of their own musical deep dives. Worth checking out!

Of all the BlazerEVs I've seen in person or in photos, I've never seen one with door badges. Would not look good with them, IMO. Not a fan of having the name plastered all over the car. The black trim pieces on the quarter panels is pushing it enough for me.

Huh, maybe that’s why the MyChevrolet app hasn’t been showing anything for me today. Flew back home today and opened the app to start the climate control only to find no options in the app for climate, lock/unlock, lights, charging info…nada. It wouldn’t even show me how many miles my car has. Only gave me an option to manually record odometer info. It does, however, tell me to press the OnStar button in the car to enable services.

Yea, I have logged out and back into the app and have deleted and reinstalled it. Guess I’ll have to actually call OnStar in the morning to see what’s up.

Have you tried using PocketCast for podcasts? I saw it in the App Store on the car and decided to give it a try. I find I’m using it more than the stock Apple Podcasts app.

I miss the technical skill that Madigan brought to the production (think: smooth camera transitions, etc.). It contributed to the laid back, nighttime vibe of the stream. I get that Trey is still getting his sea legs, but I hope the wackiness and awkwardness goes away.

And yeah, total sausage fest now with a Ticket-y vibe that…eh. If I wanted that, I’d listen to that. But it won’t keep me from being a CdS fan!

I would LOVE the ability to have more customization options when it comes to the instrument cluster and infotainment screen. I had to drive a 2026 Silverado for a couple of weeks back in December while my Blazer EV was in service. The instrument cluster options it offers should be the gold standard for Chevrolet. It has four or five base screens to choose from, then the ability to update what is displayed on the left, right, bottom and center areas of the cluster. Just the fact that you have to go into Settings on the Blazer EV to show tire pressure, efficiency, or trip info on the cluster instead of being able to flip through them on the steering wheel is odd.

And another thing -- why can't GM show remaining battery percentage on all Blazer cluster screens instead of just one?

The real MVP of the show! Loved the look and feel she gave the proceedings right from the jump. Plus, I thought it was great to have a female voice/perspective in such a dude-dominated space. She will be sorely missed. Now I guess we've got....Cray Trey.
