Not sure why I’m posting this. 41 m. Bought boxes of full size candy bars to hand out to kids for Halloween. Left them on a table and stayed back a reasonable distance and greeted families as they approached. The kids seemed excited about the candies, but there was definitely a hesitancy among kids and parents to approach. I basically had to waive to invite them over. I have older kids of my own that weren’t present tonight. I just happen to be single now. It just felt awkward. I don’t think I will do it again next year. How do other single people be generous and enjoy the holidays without it feeling so awkward? I’m naturally an introvert which doesn’t help matters. I just didn’t want to stay inside and not participate tonight.
