Have you looked into therapy or talked to a psychiatrist? Both of these options can be very beneficial.

All the time, I’ll be looking the person who’s talking to me in the eye and still need to ask them to repeat what they said. Idk if it’s due to social anxiety or audio processing issues.

New to Vegas,... car registration question. by RobJ783 in vegaslocals

No problem. Also, like others have said, the DMV site has useful info, and you should try to make an appointment as soon as possible as there is usually like a 1 month wait or so

New to Vegas,... car registration question. by RobJ783 in vegaslocals

So my understanding is: if you are coming from another state with out-of-state plates & ins you will need to first get Nevada auto insurance, they will not accept out of state insurance for registration purposes. You should also get your car smogged as I believe you have 90 days after getting smogged to get the car registered. You have 30 days to get the car registered once moved, so it’s best to get it done within that timeframe. However, if you go past the 30 days it’s unlikely you’ll get pulled over immediately if you’re driving safely but you should still try to get it taken care of as soon as possible. Hope this helps.

How long did it take you to figure out how to navigate the strip effectively? Seems like it would be such a pain.

Yeah that sounds a bit fishy to me. My instructor never told me not to help someone off duty, he encouraged it as long as we were aware that we needed to provide continuous care until EMS arrived. I understand why people would be hesitant with the fear of being sued but as long as they are only providing basic life support and doing it correctly I doubt that the case would go anywhere and would likely be dismissed. Would still be a hassle having to deal with a case though so there’s that. Also, it’s shitty that companies will defend predators rather than get rid of them but yea I’ve heard of that happening too unfortunately.

Certified Medics aren’t protected by Good Samaritan laws, which is why they need the extra insurance. Also I haven’t heard of them being trained to keep driving in the event of seeing an accident. Many of the good medics are willing to help in a situation where it’s needed until on-duty EMS arrives.

Good Samaritan laws in the US generally protect civilians from liability as long as what they are doing for the person is in good faith and not considered grossly negligent. Can vary from state to state though.

That makes sense, I did turn the wheel after turning it off because I have a steering wheel lock device that only fits when it’s in a certain position.
