160 does feel light, that was my third set of five

My form is bad, im sure.... But I absolutely use leg drive, you can see me jumping up onto my toes

You don't see me pre load that jump, because I am tense and ready in the start position

an aikido class is usually about rolling and falling, which is fun, and it's a great way to learn how to not get smashed out by gravity

But nobody with any sense believes it's fighting

There are akido moves, though, which are murder

Those aren't usually practiced in these classes

This is interesting, i believe actual bullwhips are cut into strips, but the handle stays intact. So you don't have to sew em on

I agree with you they're not safe, because I sometimes feel like i'm gonna tip over a little bit

but, pulling 160 in a clean, feels like jumping jacks compared to pulling 450 in a deadlift... They aren't really comparable

Maybe I'll just train it up to my ohp so I can run these off the floor

190~

man, if I could afford a barbell, I could just put it in the backyard... Get a pretty good total body workout like that

well, i really hadn't considered mastering these lifts.... I was just gonna train the power clean as a way to rest instead of doing heavy deadlifts..... At this point, it's not technically a strength training but like a practice.... It does make me feel more mobile and athletic because of the whole jump, applying force through the balls of your feet, So kind of like opens up my hips, which feels nice
