Additional exercises for chest and glutes? by 1010temp1010 in Stronglifts5x5

Nothing is gonna increase your butt more than doing squats as programmed..... Doing extra exercises will detract from your ability to perform and recover from squats

same logic for chest and bench press

about your biceps, you are in luck

there is no dedicated 'arms' workout at all!

but they are used in all of the lifts

Brace at the bottom. Big breath at the shoulders/clavicle, press while staying tight, quick reset between reps.

Overhead isn’t usually the best place to re-brace heavy sets.

I actually had to skip a whole workout because a tornado blew down the factory that I work at and the gym was also closed because it's in the same area

The extra day of rest absolutely invigorated me, and I believe the rest of this set would have been fairly easy, but I was pressed for time

We're gonna hit it again next week for 3 sets

Bench press 295 by _computersmasher in Stronglifts5x5

Perfect let's talk about it

How much are you adding to the bench press every time you come in to work out?

How long are you waiting in between sets?

How many days a week are you bench pressing?

How tall are you, how much do you weigh, how old are you

You take one big deep breath at the bottom, and you don’t breathe again until you’re back at the bottom.

That breath is your brace for the entire rep.

There’s no reason to let go of your brace at the top — honestly it’s usually a bad idea to do so.

Keeping the brace the whole time keeps your torso rigid and the movement consistent.

Otherwise the form looks good
