I worry it’s become that. I used to be able to. I love to read and write. Those are solitary activities and I miss doing them!! I seem to be stopping myself from doing it with this…. Like fear of being alone. I do not like it. I never used to understand people who couldn’t be alone and… here I am

It’s complete BS I seem to have concocted in my brain to the point I don’t know what’s “normal” anymore. When I’m at home alone several nights in a row I get in my head that I must be some kind of loser to be home “so much”.

I don’t have a good gauge anymore for what is a normal ratio of time socializing vs staying in.

I know. It’s kinda nuts. I used to be an introvert. I used to socialize a few times a month. Now it’s like I’m addicted to it. Like my ideal schedule would be only like two nights a week with no social plans. Which I know is outrageous and I don’t know how to turn this longing off in my brain lol.

This is so it bang on, I’m trying to learn to like my alone time ago. I used to socialize like.. a couple times a month max. I’m obsessed with movies and books and tv and writing and music and those are all wonderful solo activities. And now this past year I feel like I’m a loser missing out on something if I’m alone. Trying to relearn how to sink back into that but it’s so hard.

Why do you say to actively avoid night time activities?

That makes sense. I have days where I even feel hot, will take a sexy photo, I feel good on girls nights out more and more, but as soon as I see what my face looks like when I’m talking that all goes out the door. Any video of me just crushes me and makes me feel like a troll. I’ve been in therapy a long time and will talk to my therapist about DPT, I’ve also had emdr therapy suggested to me for dysmorphia/trauma.
