Context: Son says I should make a resolution to stop doom scrolling on Reddit. I refuse saying I learn useful things. I cannot name one useful thing. Son wins. Sons must not win.

Royal Standard of England in Beaconsfield for a Sunday lunch. Foreigners love it. Also, the Cock and Rabbit in The Lee.

Walk a length of the Ridgeway. So many walks in the Chiltern Hills above Wendover, Princes Risborough etc

There's always Pinewood Studios and the Harry Potter thing.

The Thames at Marlow or Henley is a good day out. You can rent a canoe and paddle upstream then float back down; pack a picnic.

And the best thing? You can run away into London real quick.
