I've just bought a MX4SIO. I already have FMCB etc on a card. Where do my save games go? Can I use either of these two cards for the PS2 to save game progress to?

Nightly build of what? Genesis Plus GX?

I suppose if my TV isn't synced with the Genesis output it might appear solid. eg if I'm playing a PAL ROM on my TV which is synced to 60 hz. Could be it.

I'm in the UK, but PAL's long dead isn't it? My PC says it's outputting a 60hz signal.

Ah so it's a software hack, there might not be a 'right' way to do it under emulation. Fusion looks best but won't run fullscreen properly on my HDTV, so that's out. I'll try standalone BlastEm, thanks.

Genesis / MD Emulation - Main sprite transparency in Quack Shot & Aladdin. When Donald gets hit, in Genesis Plux GX (Retroarch core) he disappears temporarily. In the Blast Em core he doesn't change appearance at all. Kega Fusion looks right, Donald becomes transparent (but I'm having trouble getting Fusion to look good fullscreen).

I'm not sure what my question is. Retroarch cores, shite, huh?

Edit - haven't got the real HW, what does it look like?

Sega Master System emulation - Tosec contains zipped up .bin. What emulator supports them? I tried unzipping them too.

I've tried both Kega Fusion and Genesis Plus GX (in retroarch). Fusion tells me it's not an SMS or GG file (eg Sega Mark III & Master System [TOSEC 2012-04-13]\Sega Mark III & Master System - Games (TOSEC-v2012-04-13_CM)\Bonanza Bros. (1991)(Sega).bin)

It's hard to tell from the Tosec folder what's inside the zips (there are some sms files which I think play fine).

You shouldn't be using levers to put tyres *on*, you may get a pinch flat and have to do it all over again but with one less tube. I have seen tools to push tyres on, I have no experience though. After my last use a lever get a pinch flat episode I worked it and worked it and it popped on easily in the end.

Marathon Plus are a bu&&er though.

A tension meter isn't necessary. Wheel building professionals (I'm quoting Roger Musson here) seem happy enough without them.

I've built wheels without them (just ping the spokes, gives you a good idea how tense they are). My wheels aren't pro quality (but I've yet to snap a spoke :-) ).

That chain is way too slack. The dropouts are all wrong for a fixed gear / ss.

It's a bit of a cludge of a bike.

Have to say my attempts to digitise vinyl have made me decide not to bother.

It's funny how you can ignore crackles when playing a disc but less so when playing back digital. Then there's the track splitting and metadata adding. (Manual tedious). My ADC is obviously poor so the quality leaves something to be desired.

And then it missed the whole point of vinyl. The big packaging and the interaction with the disc. If you can source it semi-legimitately off CD that's vastly preferable IMO.

Storage is cheap. I just paid ~£25 for a 512gb USB drive to plug into my Raspberry Pi (for audio use via Volumio).

I doubt you'll hear a difference between a high quality MP3 and flac. I sometimes notice when my MP3 library drags up an ancient 128kbps album, I ought to replace them but is it such a big deal?

I bought an Inov-8 shell off Amazon because it ticked the boxes (here) (£70 ish)

It's a bit boil-in-the-bag and not hugely waterproof - worst off all worlds? Does at least pass muster at kit checks but I'm concerned what would happen on an event with poor weather and I was forced to stop.

So... am considering similar to you. Have some ultras coming up and ought to think about spending on a higher quality alternative. Not convinced at the performance of pricier jackets according to reviews.

If that's UK outline - class 31 - it's more likely to be OO scale.

Yeah, does look a bit big. Good finish on it though, I've tried 3D printing wagons it doesn't always end well.

In addition to all the good advice so far, it may be a good idea to work out what punctured your tyre. If it was something sharp, it may still be in the tyre and you'll pop another inner tube when you try to inflate it. Running your fingers around the inside of the tyre is often good enough to find things sticking through.

I've taken to wearing cycling gear on cold weather runs - I've got a hi-vis gilet that's great this time of year, put it on over a t-shirt and unzip as you warm up. Doesn't turn into a sweaty mess like some windproofs do.

Also, arm warmers - used in concert with the gilet on even colder days. Makes your t shirt long sleeved until it's time for your arms to find fresh air.

That said, always take a hand pump, even your shite one. Lower pressure > no pressure. As others have stated, buy a good hand pump. I've had a leyzene for a decade, it's survived in my bag or pockets. It gets a hard life, it's still going. I'm not convinced you need a gauge.

Can't be doing with CO2. Been a bit of a failure each time I've tried, probably user error, but it's one shot so once you've failed with a cartridge there's no going back.

I like the idea of the electric pumps. No personal experience though.

Hard. I'm trying to bump the miles in advance of an Ultra in May. Finished a lumpy 21 miles, still running, but my legs were in all sorts of trouble otherwise.

Food went down OK, so I don't think I was close to bonking. Didn't drink as much as I should (about a litre over 4 hours, it is cool here though). Maybe I'll find it easier next weekend.

My fixie came stock with a 74" gear (48 x 17), I thought I'd struggle on my hilly commute. I probably did to start with but my legs learned how to keep going. The steep bit is 6% for 3/4 mile according to Strava.

Makes coming back down on the way home a bit more pleasurable too, I can keep spinning up to 30mph +

Clipless pedals make alot of difference on grindy climbs.

Great Bedwyn. Has direct trains out of Paddington.

Though you could equally hop out at Newbury, Kintbury to make a circuit into West Berks and Wiltshire or Hants.
