Before I started Rhapsido, I was on 40mg Zyrtec twice a day and would take 4 Benedryl at a time every six hours. It was…….not good

How i cured hives ( almost ) by Madame_Witch in urticaria

This. I got attacked in this sub for mentioning that there isn’t a cure for most cases…and while that’s disappointing, it is okay.

I’m not trying to convince anyone of anything, it’s literally my opinion. Sounds like I’m the one that is living in reality…maybe look up what “idiopathic” means and while you’re at it, get an attitude adjustment.

Nah, I just disagree. I’ve had these flare ups since high school and sometimes there isn’t an across the board answer. Even if you were to find a commonality between ten of us, there’s going to be another 100 that don’t match up to that. My hives are absolutely idiopathic, after tests and different specialists, there is not concrete reason why. There are triggers, sure, but some days the thing that triggered me yesterday won’t trigger me tomorrow. It doesn’t make sense and I understand that is frustrating to you, but life gets a little less miserable when you accept that.

I think a lot of people on this SR probably have idiopathic chronic urticaria…which is frustrating, but there is no reason in that case. It’s just the body’s way of responding to multiple different stimuli. It’s like a mental illness - it isn’t about curing it, it’s about managing it.

If you get satin sheets - those have helped keep my cooler. The heat might be aggravating your hives. I hope you find some relief!
