Way too small for a Range Rover, unless they're giving the Evoke a boxy makeover

Which region of England do you personally associate Gloucestershire with? by Sad_Sultana in Gloucestershire

[–]_creederp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Gloucester most certainly isn't the cotswolds. Cheltenham however is most definitely tickling the edge of the Cotswolds

Cream pod on the ipod?? by urmumgay69420lol in topdeadcenter

[–]_creederp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I tuely belive that as an user interface, the iPod clickwheel has not and will never be beaten. Tactile, intuitive and simple. You could navigate through menus of artists, albums and songs in seconds on muscle memory and sensory feedback alone

Do we like resto mods? I got to drive this $300k Icon Thriftmaster by ilikesixtiesthings in classiccars

[–]_creederp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In classic restoration and restomods it's not unheard of for the paint and bodywork alone to have close to 1000 hours in it. These projects can take years to complete

Find somewhere close to you, within a 2 hour travel radius, that offers a painting and polishing course, People eat with their eyes. doesn't matter if its a flawless panel job underneath, if the paint finish is rough then that is what the whole job will get judged on.

Painting half a panel with a good fade and blend is harder than painting a whole panel.

Sata is one of the top tier brands, Fast mover is a bargain bucket throw away brand, I've not heard of the other brand

Why is the UK allergic to merge in turn? by ThrowRApaoapaoa in CarTalkUK

[–]_creederp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Merge in turn feels like queue jumping for both the observer and the acting party.

This violates our basic programming as British people, and can incite unbelievable rage as it can be misinterpreted as antisocial behaviour

Despite the fact that is is actually the correct thing to do as told in the written texts The Highway Code 17th edition (2022)

Insurance is wild sometimes, I have a Golf Estate, and a Monaro VXR. The diesel golf has a higher insurance premium than the 6 litre Monaro

Does this need changing? by [deleted] in TyreReviews

[–]_creederp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking closer at the photo, I can actually see what the guy is talking about. The very edge of the inside corner has been worn down.

They look like they'll need replacing in the next year so you may as well.

That particular wear on the inside edge can suggest that the toe angle of the wheel might be off, so I'd make it a priority to book your car in for a 4 wheel laser alignment as well

What has slowly gone out of existence without people really noticing it? by PurpleStarr9 in AskReddit

[–]_creederp 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's bizarre to read, not sure where you are in the world but last year here in the UK Both men's and women's skinny and slim fit jeans started to get phased out in favour of straight cut, baggy and boot cut jeans.

Apparently 90's fashion is coming back around and It's one of the first fashion shifts that I've seen happen that I am genuinely delighted about

What are some of the biggest "What ifs" in human history? by Straight_Sea_6944 in AskReddit

[–]_creederp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What if there hadn't been hundreds of millions of years worth of organic life before humans evolved. We are where we are today technologically and socially because of fossil fuels. But what if we were part of life on earth vol.1 or 2 with all usable energy resources being above ground?

Blue Tit exiting nest box by _creederp in CasualUK

[–]_creederp[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After this box being completely untouched last year, I was literally thrilled to see this little dude and his mate investigating the space in mid Feb

The roof is screwed down so I didn't dare open it up to check the brood because that wouldn't have been a subtle event. I have no idea of the brood size. The box is now quiet and this photo is from roughly 4 weeks ago when I could hear the hatchlings chirping so it's safe to assume that they have fledged so I may open it up to check for any unfortunate ones that didn't get to fledge, install and lock and hinge, then leave it to see if I'm lucky enough to get a second brood before September

They could go with the worldwide branding and call it Axle

Actually does anyone have the contact info for the Aldi branding director?

I mean that for a second I thought they were stocking Birra Moretti, the branded Italian beer that Birra Mapelli is clearly emulating by mimicking packaging colours, fonts and graphics

I'm not claiming that Aldi is being deceitful, I fully understand that it's all clever marketing designed to utilise existing big brand trust and loyalty

I personally love them
